think it is going to look something like this

Let's hope so. That would be the best case scenario for resellers as well as collectors. Don't know if there is enough in the movies to support a Starkiller playset but a UCS model would be fun.

  • Hanging is by far the best way to display it.  It has a hollow core, so we used a small piece of wood painted black with an eye bolt and picture hanging wire.  That way its supported from the bottom.

  • I think this pretty much sums it up. A five year old boy (my son) watching Star Wars for the first time ever. The Death Star is... fascinating.  When it is gone (whenever, if ever, that finally happe

I'd probably pass on just a UCS starkiller base that is basically a boring model like the DS 2.

I'm still assuming this new DS is based on Rogue One, and will be in a similar mold to the original lego version, as it will be the flagship set for that film, and have scenes based on that movie.

DS now marked as retired product on Lego Shop at Home

I see it as a red "sold out" on U.S. Lego Shop at Home . . .

Curiouser and curiouser. So the retiring soon is gone but the sold-out has gone from orange to red. Also if you sort on exclusive or star wars sets it's now down at the bottom with the other red sold out sets that have been so for quite a while ( like X-wing, Tower of Orthanc, EEE, etc). Where is it used to be up at the top. Some have speculated the order of sorting mean something.

It´s in GBP at Ebay´s exchange tax but even so, very encouraging. The 3 cheapest BIN are all from colleagues of mine from Spain so hopefully they will thin out their stock and I can play a waiting game!

Also, you may have seen this seller has 3 separate auctions ending in a space of 3 minutes! Seems like a self destruct strategy but let´s see how it pans out.

Yeah, I noticed that guy. I think he's got 4 auctions on the go at once. Terrible strategy if you're looking to get a good price. He obviously just needs the cash in a hurry or something.

It might be trick. People will put in automatic bids to snipe them on all 3 items and that could drive the price up (either that or he is shill bidding).

Either that or they know the new one is OT and they have 100 to sell before then!

Had another look and the seller is experienced but not with Lego so maximising profit from each set is maybe not the game plan.

Starting price BIN is now 540 euros plus shipping so we are looking at the typical big jump in the first few weeks while the small fry sellers are weeded out and then an inevitable slow down after the 600 barrier is broken an the big players with multiple sets come into play - unless SW fever keeps things alive.

Star Wars fever will keep things alive if you are a true Star Wars nerd you're already looking forward to the Blu-ray release of the movie plus you have the May 4 celebration plus you have the next movie coming out at Christmas 2016 so there is plenty of things to keep everyone focused that wants to be in a few years it will probably die down but I think it's going to be quite hectic for a while

I think that OT Lego merchandise will get a big boost after Xmas when people have their fill of TFA and newly converted fans want to discover who Luke, Han and the rest are. There should be good things happening right through to May 4.

This will also hopefully also help stuff like Jabba which is not in the latest film.

Now if only someone would buy my darn Pre Viszla´s ship!

Spoiler alert!
