Ha! A new eponym! Like doing a homer! So by definition....10249: when Lego re-issues an almost identical set that has been retired. Example: I picked up that 10249 Death Star. Or: I sold that 10249 Ewok Village yesterday. Secret slang for Lego! Gotta love it! :D

  • Hanging is by far the best way to display it.  It has a hollow core, so we used a small piece of wood painted black with an eye bolt and picture hanging wire.  That way its supported from the bottom.

  • I think this pretty much sums it up. A five year old boy (my son) watching Star Wars for the first time ever. The Death Star is... fascinating.  When it is gone (whenever, if ever, that finally happe

I can not believe I just bought another one of these things.  That makes it three.  I move up in the survey at the top if I could redo my vote.

UGGGGHHHH!!!!!

Oh well - It is only a matter of time before it goes "Sold Out" for good.

Just noticed the "We're making more!" line is gone. This could either mean they expect the keep the back-orders rolling, or they won't make any more (hahahaha).

Or of course it could mean nothing at all, which i'm inclined to believe..

me too, in for 11. Why? I have no idea. It's addiction!

Just received another DS.  Minty fresh.  Seal Code: July 18, 2015.  I love the smell of fresh cardboard.
Came with a DC comic. Is this worth anything?

Maybe a few bucks but these are the freebies I throw in with large orders for my customers.  Check out the poster in the middle recreating the cover to Action Comics #1.  That is going up on my wall eventually.

With everyone and their nan hoarding one of these, even when it does reach EOL will there even be any point?

They'll just bring it back again in 3 years!

I'm not saying I know for sure but I can't really see a 400 dollar set hoarded as much as you think. Don't get me wrong there are some big ballers here but most of them don't  care for the DS as an investment so much as to have 50. The other thing is that this thing is a beast to store......I have 5 and they take up more room than I would like.

My Nan returned hers after it came back in stock, I told her she was a fool!

Solid post! I typically put 10K-20K into a good set, yet I have only 6 death stars. I strongly believe I am not alone.

Yes, several people put 10K-20K into good sets.

Now I feel like a handyvac.

I can only invest those amounts if I'm paying in Pesos.
