September 4, 201411 yr How do you cancel a Bricklink order? I had a seller message me saying one of the items I ordered was not in stock, I ordered from him because he had the 3 pieces I needed. I don't want the other random stuff I ordered to get over the $ amount per order threshold if I can't get one of the parts I actually needed. I think you just message him and say you'd like to cancel. They should understand and cancel it for you.

September 7, 201411 yr How do you Bricklinkers handle inventory management? I know someone who runs a store and has them divided by part type then size then color and I can't help but there's probably a better way, especially with a lot of pieces.
September 7, 201411 yr I am fairly small, with around 50K parts. I have my parts broken down by type and size, with colors still mixed together for the most part. For example, I have a large bag of 2x plates with smaller bags inside divided into 2x2, 2x3, etc., but within each of the smaller bags the colors still mixed up. Sent from my iPad using
September 7, 201411 yr Bricklink category, part name, size, and finally color. The same way we print out our pick lists when we get an order, so we can just move straight down the shelves to pull the order in a logical way
September 7, 201411 yr How does shipping work? I've posted the prices for shipping but when someone buys something from me, how do they pay?
September 7, 201411 yr You'll send them an invoice with your paypal info Edited to add, place a few small orders on BL, it'll give you a feel for what the process should look like when you sell.
September 7, 201411 yr Also you can look at a sellers Spash page to see their shipping options and prices most of the time. If you go in their store its midway through the top menu.
September 8, 201411 yr Also you can look at a sellers Spash page to see their shipping options and prices most of the time. If you go in their store its midway through the top menu. Yes much different than eBay... By the way once you set the price how do you change it?
September 8, 201411 yr Yes much different than eBay... By the way once you set the price how do you change it? Through your inventory page. If it doesn't show up as a tab on whatever screen you're looking at, click on "My Bricklink" and you'll see it as a link option down below.
September 10, 201411 yr I need some advice on the store I am about ready to open on Bricklink....... I have about $7500 in inventory ready for upload to open, but it is all sealed sets, used sets or minifig's...... How well do these 3 sections sell. I do have about 85%-90% of everything I have listed below the average selling price on Bricklink, they are not super low prices but they are still lower than the average...... Any suggestions? If you don't want to waste the time here you can always message me...... Thank you in advance!!!
September 10, 201411 yr Generally, you're going to get faster sales and more money (even with the higher fees) on eBay or Amazon for the types of items you're dealing in. That doesn't mean Bricklink is a bad choice, just not necessarily an optimal choice (when it comes to sell-through and profit). If you are happier with the community there or don't want to deal with Amazon and eBay hoops, that makes sense also, of course. I'm afraid I don't know what the sell through is there, other than "lower" than the big mall venues.
September 10, 201411 yr Is there any way when you add parts to your wanted list to add the quantity of that part that you need?(I.e. I added a red 2 by 4 but I want to put in that I need thgree of them) I know there must be but I can't figure it out
September 10, 201411 yr Look for the quantity field. I'm mobile, otherwise I'd screenshot it. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Brickpicker mobile app
September 27, 201411 yr Ok, so here's an oddball question that probably has been asked before: Is there a place on BL, (or other) to sell just the instructions for a set? IE: In a few of my bulk bins I have found set instructions for sets that I have no intention to build or sell whole. There must be some small value to someone that is looking to make a set more complete by having instructions. That, and I'd hate to throw them out...
September 27, 201411 yr Look up the set. Example: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=76017-1 And click 'instructions entry' in the middle of the screen. Then 'Add to inventory' on the left side. Add price, quantity and condition/condition notes and submit. Fair warning - instructions don't sell so fast - least imho.
September 27, 201411 yr Every set has a field for listing the box only, the instructions only or the whole set. Here is a HH example for instructions http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?I=10228-1 Basically the link has an I=... instead of an S=... Modify with the set number that you need.
September 27, 201411 yr Fair warning - instructions don't sell so fast - least imho. Unless you have instructions for Taj Mahal or 10179...
September 27, 201411 yr Awesome, thanks for the fast replies. * I can't believe I missed seeing the "Instructions" section from just going to the "Items For Sale" tab first. I literally glanced right over it when I tried both "Books" and "Catalogs" before realizing that wasn't what I was looking for (then I posted on here)... Thanks for the tips on the other ways to get to the Instructions as well.

October 17, 201411 yr looks like bricklink finally released their long awaited redesign plans with a high level schedule. after reading the announcement, i read mostly pros. we'll see.... http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/newsview.page?msgid=862333 BrickLink Product Roadmap 2014-2015 New Feature and Milestone Announcement by Marvin Park | 2014-10-17 EST Dear BrickLink members, I hope you
October 17, 201411 yr Well, on first read, I like what I've read. I'll opt into the price quotes, automated shipping and express checkout.
October 17, 201411 yr Wow! I go shopping for a few hours and when I come home the internet has exploded with good news. Thanks for posting this! Between this, the new World of Warcraft patch, and the upcoming improvements to Game of Thrones Ascent, I'm walking on clouds today!

Glad to hear you like it, too.
October 18, 201411 yr The updates sound good - I just hope that we don't lose too much. The ability to pay right away, through paypal sounds great. I am always concerned nowadays when a site has a facelift (my desktop is not a mobile device).
