April 9, 201510 yr Store suspended. =) LOL that was quick. I mean how do they even know it's a scam? WHAT IF, what if he doesn't know Lego prices and really are selling it for fraction of what it's worth?
April 9, 201510 yr LOL that was quick. I mean how do they even know it's a scam? WHAT IF, what if he doesn't know Lego prices and really are selling it for fraction of what it's worth? The red flags were there. All pictures had different backgrounds. All prices were suspiciously good. Paypal was not an accepted form of payment. Money orders, wire transfers, cashiers checks were, etc. It is possible it's legit. Just highly unlikely. That's why Bricklink suspends stores "For Information" all the time. I have this bridge... it's worth a fortune but I need a quick sale for money to pay for my aunt's operation. Please mail me cash and I'll mail you the deed. I'm honest because I say so, so you can trust me and everything. They know because they didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

April 11, 201510 yr Was going to say I was syncing stuff about 45 minutes ago and just cancelled an order. Life is good again. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Brickpicker mobile app
April 11, 201510 yr It's still having functionality problems in some areas. I just tried to do an invoice and it kept taking me back to the login screen and losing the changes (shipping charge etc.)
April 11, 201510 yr I successfully did an invoice at 1:22 pacific. Was not working for me before that.
April 12, 201510 yr Can someone who lives outside of Washington please check my brickowl page and tell me how much my Captain America figure on the front page is selling for? I just added in my tax information and set it up so that WA residents have tax added on, but now it's showing me lower prices for everything! I'm assuming so that when I add to cart and tax is added, that it would equal the same that it had been in the first place. But that's not the way I wanted it to go!!! Before I mess around with that though, I need to know if the price is shown the same for everyone. Thank you! http://allabouttheminifigs.brickowl.com/

April 13, 201510 yr I am in need of help again. I am trying to put a couple links into my Bricklink store that will send them to other websites if they click on them but when I get everything done and click the link it just stays on Bricklink and the area where the text was goes all white. My store is Gem State Bricks if you want to see what I am referring too. I followed the directions for a link in Beicklink's HTML guide but apparently it doesn't work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Link to store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=captain_frog20 Edited April 13, 201510 yr by Frogger21

April 14, 201510 yr You can do virtually no HTML if BL is hosting your splash page. This includes "A" tags. This is all due to the overreaction they had to the hacking incident in 2012. However, there is the ability for you to host your own splash page and then you can do whatever custom HTML that you like. If you want to go that route, get your page set up on another server, then email the BL help desk with the link, and ask nicely to have your settings updated. They will screen your page to make sure its acceptable then move you over.
April 14, 201510 yr Thanks guys. I couldn't get Math's to work and thanks Dad. I will definitely look into that. It really isn't that big of a deal right now, I am just trying to drive more people to my store and instagram is pretty good for that.

Link to store: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=captain_frog20 Your html link is well formed however you can't link to sites like Facebook this way .. and it's not because BL doesn't allow it, Facebook doesn't allow what BL is trying to do in this case. I viewed the generated source of the splash page, and it's hosted in an html control called a <frame> .. any site requiring you to "login" probably won't work. BL was developed waaaaay back when <frame> was a control used a lot. Most modern websites no longer employ this type of control for the majority of the functionality for a variety of reasons - mainly they are a security risk (phising) and interacting with content in a frame is crappy. With that in mind, even if BL tries to prevent some HTML from getting into your splash page .. moving you over to your own hosted splash page won't matter because Facebook doesn't allow it to be hosted in a frame which is what BL uses for the content of each tab. Suggestion .. do this: <BR>Check us out on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gem-State-Bricks/1625510294338460" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and <a href="https://instagram.com/gemstatebricks/" target="_blank">Instagram</a> for updates and store promotions. <BR> By adding the target="_blank" to the html link, it will open the pages in a new tab of the browser. That's as good as it gets... and IMO a better user experience anyways. (for the folks who care about the technical reason .. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7276036/open-facebook-page-in-iframe-or-frame .. it has some details from a facebook developer on why it's not allowed) Edited April 14, 201510 yr by gregpj Edited to make clearer what I was adding to the links without all the BP additions. :)
