February 18, 201510 yr Just got a set at Westfield London. Seal code is 49S4. Thanks. Is it safe to conclude from this that the production run was rather small?
February 18, 201510 yr Thanks. Is it safe to conclude from this that the production run was rather small? I am too inexperience to comment on production runs.
February 18, 201510 yr I am too inexperience to comment on production runs. That never stops anyone else here...
February 18, 201510 yr My best guess: The production run = The square root of the first two digit number, added to the second number (after the letter), divided by any number of your choice, then multiplied by 1,000. I've found this to be pretty accurate. By pretty accurate, I mean give or take 15,000 units.
February 18, 201510 yr Just received my Triple E today from LEGO Shop at Home. Box is minty mint and seals read 33R4.
February 20, 201510 yr Marked as Retiring Soon on Canada/USA LEGO Shop at Home, and the limit has been raised to 5 from 2 earlier this week. My guess it`ll be gone pretty quick, sometime in March perhaps. Double VIP is 1/2 way through the month and I`ll wager that if it is not gone by then, it will be shortly after.
February 20, 201510 yr Raising the limit to five and marking it retiring soon seem like desperation pleas to resellers - please clear these out of our warehouses! We weren't moving them fast enough with limit 2.
February 20, 201510 yr Yeah exactly, just further evidence to approach this one with caution. I`m happy with 2 sealed. Who know, most people ignoring it may just inflate the value even more, though I`m seriously sceptical of that. I think it will do alright, enough to buy 2 "shares" of it.
February 20, 201510 yr Gah! I caved and ordered another single to up myself to 3 'shares'. The cheap Canadian dollar made me do it, plus I like the demolition driller. Now I promise to not order any more unless it makes it to double VIP. Then I'll probably cave and buy two more. But only if...
February 20, 201510 yr Maybe, just maybe, since this wasn't available other than LEGO shops and LEGO Shop at Home in the US (or third party sellers at Amazon and eBay), they had to up the minimum to clear them out. Maybe the suggested "experiment in exclusivity" was a failure.

If we are using whole numbers only.
February 20, 201510 yr at least with this formula we know the most produced in this particular run is 11,000. If we are using whole numbers only. Are whole numbers found in the wellness section?
February 20, 201510 yr Wouldn't it be ironic if there was a shipping container stuck out west, full of these shipping container sets!
February 20, 201510 yr Are whole numbers found in the wellness section? yes you can find them somewhere in there
February 20, 201510 yr Wouldn't it be ironic if there was a shipping container stuck out west, full of these shipping container sets! I bet them Red5s are the ones that sitting there
February 20, 201510 yr There are about 60,000 container ships in the world with an average crew of 20, so 1.2 million workers currently. I won't try to infer anything from this number here, but i thought it might be of interest to some.

Of course they'll spend it all on LEGO container ships!
February 20, 201510 yr Plus the workers who built the ships, the engineers who designed the ships, the pirates who try to board the ships....
