Brickfolio and Price Guide FAQs (Site Update)

To Brickpicker admin. Your listing for http://www.brickpicker.com/bpms/set.cfm?set=375-2 has a used price of $60 for this set, while the Ebay listings are in the $200-$300 range. Why the difference?

If you mean when is Series 15 to be released, we have a thread that may provide answers ..

And no, that shouldn't cause values to go missing. I'm sure Jeff has seen the question and will get to as soon as he can.

Series 15 minifigures IIRC, should be released January in Europe & February everywhere else...

I still have 5 millions in my Portfolio... the same problem as Cigliogne discribed. Euro problem for some set(s) ?

I wasnt saying it would cause them to go missing, just cause them to be updated possibly. Im new, so apologies.

Those crazy values should be gone

Hmmm, good question. It seems the sets of 16 don't have any values at all but do show some sales history in the "graphs" of values. Minifigures like these are some of the hardest to peg values on because the eBay listings rarely follow a specific format. I can't honestly say if the sets of 16 have ever had "values" attached to the BrickPicker database entries? Jeff, I defer to you.. :)

They did until a couple of weeks ago. Im sure everyones just mega busy.

Silly question here, but what happened to the Brickfolio Data Services import function? I imported part of my collection a year back, but when I went to update it this week, the feature is missing...

Hey there, just a curiosity.

How do you determine what items end up in the scrolling price ticker at the top of the home page?

Is it based on biggest changes, most popular, etc?

Just wondering, thanks!

You can only import it once.  You would need to delete the data, then import it again.

Ah hah! Thanks, that makes sense. So, it's not like an API call that will do a live update....interesting.

Thanks again!

Like I mentioned in other posts, the brickfolio will be getting much needed love this year.  Lots of things will be possible

Sorry to be a PITA, but I did the purge and import from Brickset and it only found 21 sets. Purged and tried again and still only 21 sets.

Not a huge priority, but thought you may want to know.

I don't have any idea.  I don't know what you are supposed to have in there. The only way I can find out is if you PM me your login credentials for the site you are importing from and then I can see what they are reporting through the API.  I know Brickset updated their API so maybe they are doing it differently now.  I will look into it this weekend.

I've got a couple hundred sets, so, yeah, 21 is a bit low.

No worries, might just be API gremlins at work. No rush needed.

Ok, try this again, I think the number of sets should match what you have at Brickset.

Hey Jeff, it worked! Everything except for the Poe's Xwing Polybag (30278) was recognized and imported.

Thank you!

  • 2 weeks later...

Just curious for how majority of you put in your purchase price of a set added to your folio. example: you pay $9.99 for a set, but you had to pay sales tax & shipping. What do you put in under purchase price? In this example I would put the 9.99 and in my notes add the details of tax & or shipping. just curious how others do this.
