What LEGO set did you build today?

Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? Let us know what you built today and your overall thoughts on the set. Don't forget to leave more in depth reviews in our LEGO SET REVIEWS section...

And built a few Modulars to finish my city block. I need to build a few more and will build my third green grocer next, but this time mirrorred. Should be an interesting build.

I see people putting 2 Green Grocer with mirrored build side by side so the windows aligned with each other.  Might look good there.   Btw why do you need 3 green grocer? Must have cost 3 arms and 3 legs :)

Finished the NYC Skyline late last week but did some rearranging in my office today. These used to sit on a window sill and once my office cat almost sat on the Statue of Liberty I decided that it was time to move everyone. I got another 2 shelves down at the bottom so once the new Capitol Building is out he'll have a nice home next to the imperial hotel...now I just have to decide if I want to build a Villa Savoye...I got 3...so I probably will at some point...

True, and the Burj tower as well...(well and Sears Tower since I'm a Chicago guy)

Managed to get a used copy for £70, few bits missing, but nothing too terrible and mostly in good condition.
Only the second modular I’ve built, other being GE (and excluding HH), decent enough built, but still not really won over by it.

Found this two bad boys, especially shark guy which I was looking for the most!

Love the little additions! This is one of those sets that really benefits from a blue baseplate.

I did the Gotham City Chase, Imperial, and Rebel Battle Packs yesterday. I might knock out a few more tonight get pictures taken for a few more blogs.

I got my last bricklink order to put together the ent from 102137  (ToO).  Bought a used tower only in dec but swiftly realised i needed the ent to complete the masterpiece.
Nice build and looks great - would actually have worked quite well as a small set IMO although the target audience might be small.

I built the Simpsons House and as the final touch I modified the figures a bit to match regular minifigures.

The house is huge and seems well worth the price for what you get. There's some really nice builds that I can see myself incorporating elsewhere, e.g. the TV set or the mailbox, but the color scheme of the interior decoration is a little too over the top to use elsewhere. Due to its suburban architecture the SH doesn't fit in very well with the regular modulars so I'll probably tear it apart for parts again as tan is always useful.

Also, I finished the build of the Starlight Inn. There's some nice printed elements including printed windows. Spark (the little dragon) is really cute and the red parts of its body are in transparent red which looks cool. The build is very straightforward though i cannot remember seeing the use of a panel as bedding box before.

DC Mighty Micros - all 3 (Batman/Catwoman, Robin/Bane, Flash/Captain Cold).  These things are nicely done mini-builds and the minifigs rock!. I just hope we get more series.

Building my 2nd SW set. I'm getting a new addiction I think. :-)

I know a few people have said that they weren’t particularly happy with the build or the finished article, but I actually quite like it.  50/50 on keep or sell right now.
I only picked up 5 Ghost/phantom/Ezra’s bike combo’s, but as they’re already selling for 2.5 times what I paid.  Sad I didn’t pick up more.

Also built 30396 Friends Cupcakr Stand polybag

I'm not really into Friends and stuff like this 'cause I've limited my activity to SW and some other cool stuff like GB/BTTF ("cool" for me obviously, I'm a nostalgic fan of GB/BTTF) but I must admit that this little builds are awesome in the trade-off between dimensions/pcs count and "completeness"/coolness of the build.

Oh yeah. That Mini Dragon came out really nice. I really like it. The Cupcake Stand is pretty blah honestly.
