What LEGO set did you build today?

Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? Let us know what you built today and your overall thoughts on the set. Don't forget to leave more in depth reviews in our LEGO SET REVIEWS section...

6'4", 230. I am very curious about this one.  So, from an investor perspective, given price, build experience, displayability, shelf space, box size, storage space etc etc...would you consider this to be a "must have" set for future resale?  My initial thought is that this is a massive, overpriced kids play toy, but I have never seen a finished model in person so I can't say whether adults or comic book fanboys would be interested at such a high price.  I'll take your response off the air.

Here it is next to a Tumbler for scale...this thing is huge! I personally have one more sitting in inventory right now, and I feel pretty confident that this one will see some growth after retirement. Just not sure how much. It's definitely a great/challenging build. As @areyounormal mentioned, the interior could have had a bit more, but I'm perfectly happy with the exterior and that's what's being displayed anyways.

High MRP can be a turn off for a lot of buyers, but that also means this set won't be hoarded as much. We'll see how it goes.

Built the UN HQ today and it looks great. Think I might build Brandenburg gate tomorrow...

Received a Wall-E with a massive box dent earlier in the week so I decided to build it today.

Satisfying build and the final result is great. Not a set that I want to be left without when the time comes.

Going to motorise it with power functions for a bit of fun?

Before everyone in my house got up today...

Protecting. It's too light in shot to be dark :)

Totally awesome. Quadruple like. I haven't thought about this game in 15 years… I love it!

My 8 year daughter got for her birthday, and built, 41140 Daisy's Beauty Salon and 41142 Palace Pets Royal Castle.

Both are pretty cute.  She's still into Palace Pets, so it was a good pick from the friend that gave it to her.  The build wasn't overly challenging.  The usual bright colors that these lines seems to have.  But, as an 8 year old girl, she loves it.

Today I built my first architecture set ever: Imperial Hotel.

The amount of pieces (almost 1200) in unnumbered bags was overwhelming at first, especially given that I only encountered sets with numbered bags since my return to Lego. The build itself was nice despite being fiddly at times. It's this high amount of small pieces though that allows for amazing detail for a model of this scale. The manual with additional information was informative, too.

All in all a highly recommended set I wouldn't want to miss in my collection.

My almost 4 year old son was dying to build something so we grabbed 30278 Poe's XWing polybag. I really liked it! So did he. I was pretty impressed that he built it pretty much with minimal help from me.

I love that little parrot! And the fly is such an adorably minimalist design.

Anakin's Custom Starfighter and First Order Snowspeeder. Reviews will be coming soon.

I agree.  I bought this last year intending to sell it but I can't because It's a really beautiful piece and a nice rendition of the 1980s Batcave.
