Haven't posted in a while.  Bought these in the past month or so.

Flat iron building

Imperial Hotel

Villa Savoye

Leaning tower of Pisa

Star Wars ATAT

Technic MKII  (built this also)

bunch of storage bricks that are currently on sale @SAH.

Just finished the 10220 Volkswagen T1 Camper, this set has absolutely blown me away with the details. The foldable roof is just amazing!

Built 41101 heartlake grand hotel with my daughter together this past weekend, loved it.

I built it several weeks ago, loved it very much!

Built the Brick Bank today, took about 6 hours. While I wish the overall set was taller it does match up nicely next to the Detective's Office and PR.  The mini builds of the safe and the washing machines were excellent and the white and sand green elements really compliment each other.  Overall would rate it a solid B+

Built a couple of small, older Star Wars sets last night that I was Bricklinking. Will either give these to the kids or hang them up from my son's ceiling.

TRU Poe's X-Wing

Oh I love how Poe's X-Wing looks like in minibuild. So glad I picked up one of these polys recently for my son, he'll love it too!

Will be building a 4 pack of Ninja sets (Ninja not Ninjago). Have pretty nice boxes but need to confirm what is all there

Curious to see how much interest they will stoke

I’ve been stock piling used SW bulk for just over a year, waiting for the inevitable tsunami of SW popularity and over the holidays, I put this little lot back together.

Still some work to do as they are about 90-95%, not all have the correct figs and Yoda just had a little accident, his head fell off.  So I’m going to have to sort that out again.

9500 Sith Interceptor. Picked it up at 20% discount, man what an amazing build. Really cool wing features, great on display. Expensive at full price (probably wouldn't get it) but IMO it's easilly one of the cooler TIE-like sets. And that Malgus minifig - pure beauty.

FullSizeRender (4).jpg

9497 Jedi Starfighter from the Old Republic to pair with my 9500.

Man, what an amazing set. Blows all the Deltas and ETA-s from prequels out of the park. Great design, lots of playability, 3 exclusive minifigures including a brick-build droid. Oh and did I mention that it is all printed, not a single sticker in this one.

I can't believe I got it still at a discount like a 1000 years after it was discontinued.

Built 2 nexo Knights with my son.

My daughter built birds (made 1 a little backwards though) and changing seasons house with the summer scene (it is 9 degrees outside so summer seemed like the best option)

I also unmixed and rebuilt some Star Wars sets I got off craigslist including hoth base and x wing along with some others.

10:00pm last night, I decided to bust open one of the White House architecture sets i've had sitting in storage for a while now.  It's always weird cutting the seals to one of these, but I needed an architecture fix, and haven't built this one yet.  Regardless, I have to admit, I enjoyed it and the build took me about 3 hours.  There was one section that was extremely redundant.  It's the section where you piece together 1x1 bricks 16 times over to create columns.  That section was a bit time inducing but the overall result when finished was well worth it.

I figure we have another year or two on this set, so breaking a seal kind of felt good.  Now, I got to bring myself to do the same to Villa Savoye.

I build the 30294: The Cowler Dragon polybag set - nice build - really like the lime clear head and legs. Didn't notice until now but the some Chima sets also have blue clear legs.

Spent my ebay bucks on this giant thing!  Good times building it, took about 8-9 hours and it's cool to see the thing taking shape as it's coming together.   Highlights for me were the micro scale vehicles and quinjets for the deck.

Built last year's fire station (BN was practically giving them away). Really fun play set. I have built plenty of Lego but none of the big city play sets, the kids really like it

6'4", 230. I am very curious about this one.  So, from an investor perspective, given price, build experience, displayability, shelf space, box size, storage space etc etc...would you consider this to be a "must have" set for future resale?  My initial thought is that this is a massive, overpriced kids play toy, but I have never seen a finished model in person so I can't say whether adults or comic book fanboys would be interested at such a high price.  I'll take your response off the air.

For me personally I probably won't be purchasing a second copy for investment.  As is the set feels overpriced at $350 with the lack of detailed interior and Maria Hill being the only exclusive minifigure.  Also the box is about the same size as the Death Star but is only about 2/3 full and packed in an odd way that could easily lead to the sides bulging out or getting crushed easily if not stored very carefully.  Its a cool set but for the price I think only a very small group of die hard fans would be interested.

Thank you. That is good information.
