What LEGO set did you build today?

42043 B model. I like it better than the A model because the crane is easier to operate.

Put together the Resistance Troop Transporter today, it was a fun build but lots of stickers.  The ship is pretty cool - love the way the top opens and the details on the back are great.  In hand the ship feels very substantial, maybe not $70 worth - but with 20% off feels like a fair price.  Love the Leia and Admiral Ackbar figures too.

Just finished building the Star Wars IS Tydirium, took a little longer than I expected but it was fun and looks amazing sitting in my star wars collection.

Just cracked the seal on my Creator blue speed jet and man was I not expecting the size of this build manual. I know it IS a 3-in-1 set but this still has to be the thickest instruction book I've ever personally handled.

Recent Architecture builds:

Villa Savoye - it's VERY small but aesthetically pleasing.

Robie House - I was missing about 90 pieces from my ebay order but the seller was really helpful and the last pieces arrived yesterday.  This is a fabulous piece with some really nice techniques and looks a lot better than the other large sets (I haven't built my Imperial Hotel so I can't compare it to that yet) but I have seen enough 1x1 and 1x2 plates for now.  The designer crammed a lot of detail into this set and it is surprisingly large.

Next I will crack open my sealed Imperial Shuttle on Thursday or Friday (I do have a trade post for it if anyone is interested)

Built 31050 Corner Deli: for a $40 set I could not be happier, there are some really interesting building techniques and the color scheme really pops - similar to the Detective's Office.  Highlights for me are the windows frame details, the skylight building technique, and the way the "corner" is modular and can easily be removed to make the building have a front and back as a stand alone building.

SSD.

Bought this a few years ago assembled. I broke it down into 5x 1 gallon bags and have been dreading the build due to no baggies and the number of parts. I was so wrong. Very easy build from a big pile with a little pre-organization. I was a little sad when I finished...except for the big daddy pipe dream, I doubt I can find a build I will enjoy more. It's an absolute stunner of a display model too.

I built the new Berlin architecture set tonight. Small, fast & fun. I like the new skyline approach, but I also wish they had bigger, more detailed buildings coming in 2016. The build was over so fast that it left me wanting more. Maybe NYC will be a little more satisfying.

Oh, that's a bummer.  That sounds a little disappointing.  If you build NYC, let us know.  That's the one I'm most interested in.

I fear I'm bound to be disappointed no matter what, though. I'm BL'ing 5526 Skyline right now, and that's a whole lot more bricks.

Sounds like it was intentional... tap in to the addiction centres of the brain. heh.

Hope i will build till next year ;) (so how often can you say that :) )

Oh WOW. How was the box quality on that one? :derisive:

(Hope no one was injured during said derailment...)

Built all 9 Creator building models yesterday/today. Here are the primaries with one another, and with the smallest of the modulars.

Next project is to take the 2k pieces and see if I can make a true modular out of them.

Built the Ghostbusters set - build took about 11 hours.  The set is huge, here is a photo next to some recent modulars.  Super fun build, the inside looks killer in person.

Looks awesome. Makes its very hard to resist. Saw it in My local Lego Shop and saw a crowd huddled around it, as if it were the holy grail!

hmmm conflicted

Have you tried to push the HQ back so the sidewalk is even with the rest of them? Is there pins for the HQ that don't allow that? Just curious.

Built Dilophosaurus Ambush - the jeep is great, gyro-ball is really cool, and the dino, even though it's not actually in the movie, is excellently detailed.  All around, a great build and recommended for dino-philes.

I will be starting on the original Batman sets shortly.  I have four of them - 7779 Catwoman Pursuit, 7781 Two Face Escape, 7783 Mr. Freeze Invasion, and 7785 Arkham Asylum.  Also have Ninjago Ice Dragon and Indy Jones Shanghai Escape in the queue.

I broke open the seals of this yesterday and built book 1 and today we built the rest of the set but I had to build the wings twice.

It has been a long time since I opened a Lego set without numbered bags and it brought back fond memories.

So beautiful!
