What LEGO set did you build today?

Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? Let us know what you built today and your overall thoughts on the set. Don't forget to leave more in depth reviews in our LEGO SET REVIEWS section...

I think the residents of your city are going to be very impressed with the medical upgrades their taxes paid for.  Don't give me any ideas, my hospitals need to stay sealed.  Looks great.

Nice, looks good, I might have to give that a shot. Still hoping for a real modular hospital and police station at some point.

Today's builds:

Also found a few LEGO books, and a Technic figure with skis and poles. Few pieces missing. Fun times.20190805_161719.jpeg20190805_173925.jpeg20190805_204236.jpeg20190805_204416.jpeg20190805_205412.jpeg

The crime rate has been going up in my city lately, so it is in dire need of a police station.

Dismantled the Mack and built the B model. I enjoyed building this more than the main set. Has a working compactor inside the trash cab.

LOL. I was mis-grabbing pieces all over the place last night. Probably should have left the flask at home.

I finished the MACK not long ago and really like it. Have been toying with the idea of making the Compactor, would be a good place to keep all your extras...

I'm ready to move on to a custom police modular.

Built the candy shop to go with my (yet to be built) hot shot shooting range. This was also designed by Brixonator. Turned out nice. I think it will fit well in my Lego carnival (also yet to be built :p)

This looks fantastic! Also, I'm guessing these are also alien Lego people being visited by NASA's Lunar Lander?

Dag'on, Cooter is right next to the Hospital.
Sperryville isn't that far I think I dunno. The real spot.

Sadly that might even be an under-estimate!

What would be really cool to do would be to build the stranger things set into one of the elevated portions so that it sits normally on top with all of the other sets, but you can see the inverted layer too!

Side question: has anyone tried to build on a suspended platform?

My boy loves trains but they take up too much room for us so he's always forced to dismantle shortly after laying the tracks...I am envisioning a platform of sorts suspended in his bedroom...raised high close to the ceiling when not in use, but able to be lowered for active play...he also can run the trains when raised; I see this in stores all the time; but never in a home setting.
