Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? I was going to put prison island next to it as well but my train yard is deep AF plus the waterfront is on the other end.

 

 

Not enough helicopters to be considered "full force".

I have 4 more copters, 3 of them are in the air.

Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge. Paid a total of about £240, including Bricklink costs for completing them.

Thanksgiving weekend builds... pizza van and a $7 cupcake cafe. Both are really cute builds!

This was a fun build and looks awesome.

Finally built a Saturn V rocket.  That thing is massive but pretty well designed. I though the instructions could have been better in some places, I made several mistakes and had to go back and rebuild, which almost never happens.  Maybe I'm just getting old and losing it!

Yeah, there is a good site I get em from. I order direct now rather than going through eBay, although I don’t think the price is any different.

After looking through The Lego Book for what has to be the thousandth time my eyes focused on set 3221 Lego Truck from 2010 and I knew instantly I had to have it.  After seeing the price it was selling for I decided to BrickLink the parts.  Fortunately it only took 3 orders and cost under $40.  My daughter said, “Daddy, it only real needs the Lego sticker on the cab of the truck”, so using her wisdom I did exactly that and it really does have too many Lego stickers (down the side and on the back doors) and other stickers for my liking.

The minifigures are close to the originals in the actual set and inspiration struck to create an Alex minifigure from Ice Road Truckers and that is the reason for the brown hat for the driver!  Maybe I should use the truck to deliver all the packages with the sets we have been selling during the Christmas season.  I have sold more sets than ever recently and I hope you all are doing the same.

Had a spare couple of hours so took the opportunity to build the scout trooper and speeder. Not UCS but nonetheless a great build that more than holds it own against the rest of the ucs collection. Great value. Assuming this isn’t around for ever this could be a nice little earner given the relative low buy in

I built with my 4 year old son.

Holy cow, it’s a beast! Frankly I love it. Wish it had gotten more love. Sooooo steampunk. As steampunk as LEGO will ever get, I bet.

Great build. Very interesting the entire time. Fantastic detail throughout.

I'll stick to what I'm good at and leave the deals to the professionals. I will be building and stalking. I'm going to the barn to lay down.
