Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? In the last 20 hours I built the remainder of 6 sets. From those sets I only kept the parts I like while the other stuff will be sold or is already gone.

76046 Heroes of Justice: Sky High Battle: The helicopter looks bulky but contains some nice green parts.

76026 Gorilla Grodd goes Bananas: I love the small transporter and Wonder Woman's invisible plane is nice model with all those clear pieces.

76025 Green Lantern vs. Sinestro: The set contains no stickers and the spaceship looks amazing. Great selection of parts in four different shades of green.

76050 Crossbones' Hazard Heist: Some great parts in dark orange plus other useful stuff like window frames, fence pieces and so on.

76041 The Hydra Fortress Smash: Some useful bricks and pieces... and I really wanted Quicksilver.

76058 Spider-Man: Ghost Rider Team-Up: The street corner is nice and the construction of Ghostrider's bike was a lot more interesting than I anticipated.

And so it begins.....

Finally rest of the parts arrived today from BL.

I can't take credit for it. Idea came from eBay, some other guy is selling it this way.

4 bags in, really enjoying this build so far. Some great techniques used for the angled pillars, plus I really like the build of the grand father clock and vase.

Built some LEGO Dimensions sets and SW microfighters to reduce the backlog of unbuilt stuff.

Built this last weekend.  Quick but fun build.  

Finished Ecto-1 tonight, great start of the weekend! Nice build and no stickers .

Now I need a GBHQ....

Bag 9 complete, can't recommend this set enough. Yes the turrets were slightly repetitive but this was to be expected, however really enjoyable never the less and really impressed with how it's taking shape.

Built some Jurassic World stuff today. The dinosaurs I be kept sealed as I intend to sell them in the future. I didn't apply most of the stickers because I don't have any plans for a Jurassic World display.

I have to say, what a fantastically repetitive build. My fingers are sore, the instructions were hard to read, but who ever designed this thing did an awesome job. Solid, detailed, HUGE but seemingly in scale with the Xwing.

One complaint... Stickers. Why oh why do they make complicated stickers?



I think I got them on OK but that stupid little red down arrow sticker might have been the WORST placed sticker ever. Makes the Maersk stickers seem easy.

Stacked bags, duh!

I have spent most of this year looking to replace my 10182 Cafe Corner and I lucked into an auction last week where I picked one up with instructions.

I built it today and I was impressed that this person took great care to separate all of the pieces by color in individual bags. It's in excellent condition aside from the 4 missing 1x1 round plates for the roof.

The Ghost Train patrols my hotel, it is haunted after all.

OK, I got this one done and it's a nice addition to Airport Battle.

 

Built this today. Was hidden away in large loose brick haul. Most difficult part was sorting the bricks from the lot with this little guy jumping and playing with them

 Kylo command shuttle .. Used the original kit.. Then added 40-50 extra black pieces a lot are minifigure base plates, black tiles and cheese slopes.. Took away a lot of the light grey pieces.. Added a Radar. Changed up wing tips . Redesigned front end. Covered rear showing technic holes on main cockpit area. It's a work in progress I guess.
