Finished up the Pet Shop. Fun build. Nothing really special to warrant it being alive still. Time to put this old dog to rest.

But I enjoyed the build. Here is a pic of the build and one with my GE. It's actually looking like some building is happening. But I'm going to sell off the PS. Just wanted to give it a build. On to TH next!

It takes one to know one.

So, just finished. Missing a few bits, roof mostly, but nothing terrible.  A bit disappointed if I’m honest.  Finished product looks good but the build is meh.  The later modulars are just so much more fun to build, more interesting techniques, fun interiors etc.. PR still may favourite.

If this were released today I doubt it’d have anyway near the attraction.  In fact I don’t think it could be release today as it is.

It looks so cool though. I thought for sure that one would be a fun build.

The top floor including the tower is pretty neat. The middle and ground not so much.
The fact that it’s just a shell hurts it in my opinion, when comparing it to something like PR.

Ground floor.  Modulars have obviously evolved so much since this was released, I don’t want to be over critical but it’s really difficult not to compare it to those that we have today. Builds and techniques have improved so much over the last few years.

Yes the interior is bland, but the exterior is hard to beat

It just looks like it's getting renovated.

I think I’m going to buy/build another second floor and add some tiles/flooring to the interior.  All of the studs on show really hurts my OCD.

Complete & sweet.

My favorite part about this set: NO STICKERS !!!

The side launchers disconnect for better play

Reminds me in a few ways of the Temple of Airjitzu (will look very nice paired together)

I bet you could really nicely pair this with ToA to create a nice display.  Hmmmm....

Thanks for the idea Dean-

I was thinking in a similar way. Those gates are just screaming "entrance" and with the layout of ToA....yeah it gets the wheels turning.

Yea after I built this for my son, I realized I need to buy one more just for me to add to my ToA

Picked this up to get some minifigures to fill out my town. I'm not too impressed at $40. I really like the baby and wheelchair, the rest is pretty plain. What can I do with only one section of fence? I threw the park together but it's just a placeholder, the brick bank will go on that corner eventually.

Agreed. I'm not a fan at $40 either. I'm needing a TRU coupon!

New VW Beetle. Very enjoyable build. Some inventive building techniques. Highly recommended. Last picture shows comparison to the previous version which I know is disliked by many but I still love it cause it's a big bad MFer.

If there's a tail light off in the back too, we know it wasn't a deer.
