Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? Let us know what you built today and your overall thoughts on the set. Don't forget to leave more in depth reviews in our LEGO SET REVIEWS section...

Today I built the 76119 Batmobile with my 4 year old daughter. She gets bored of it after the first bag typically, but she had the idea that it needed a garage, I suggested maybe a Batcave, which we built here together from Duplo. 

I’m in the middle of building the Disney Castle. It’s pretty simple and enjoyable, just having time for a bag or two here and there. My 1 year old daughter seems to enjoy seeing the progress each morning... Hoping she will love LEGO herself!

Let the games begin!!

Built the latest version of the ice cream truck recently.  I like the build, especially the giant ice cream bar on the roof, though I do wonder if the ice cream cost $1 or $100 based on the Green Tile 1 x 2 with Groove with 100 Dollar Bill Money Pattern.  Logically it is the latter.  It must be awesome ice cream for $100!

One comment, avoid the temptation to put the Ice Cream Vendor minifigure on the Dark Bluish Gray Tile 1 x 4 like I did at first immediately behind the serving window so it falls down easily.  It goes on the studs two rows behind that window.  D’oh!

Comparing it to the pizza van, the ice cream truck is much easier to put the minifigure inside the interior due to easier access with the rear window opening being on a side hinge with a wider opening vs. the up/down hinge system on the pizza van and more crowded interior/inherent space constraints.  There is always taking off the roof option though I guess for minifigure placement.  

 

Final thought, they are both loaded with multiple play features and fit quite well within any city layout.

This evening built 41614 Owen and Blue Brickheadz

I've been trying to find some Minifigs from my kids pile, it's a nightmare. Some of them are worth the effort though, like the figs from the republic gunship and those from the batman space shuttle. Even found some stuff from the medieval village. My back is hurting. 

My four year old daughter is really enjoying Dots (Yes, there is hope for this line!) She was very excited about the pineapple pen cup.

Next up 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown. My son started it over Christmas break, and I got sick of it being abandoned.

Conflict is brewing lately in our household. Troops are assembling and wanted posters have been released! Things are def starting to heat up.

My 3 year old made this today [emoji106]

The usual suspects have been rounded up, Roboforce, UFO, a Spyruis Cpt. and his bots. Even scoured the outer rim for some Blacktron. Early chatter among the captives is this is something new. Could be a game changer, something like a protomolecule...

Well I'm not sure this is the right place but ... Maybe I should start a "what set did your cat break today" thread?!

I really liked the vikings line as well, I still remember back in 2017 I managed to buy a lot with all the vikings sets and most of the Minifigs for 100 bucks. Too bad lego doesn't do these fantasy themes anymore. I'm hoping the new creator castle will turn out well!

I was still in my Dark Ages during the Viking Age.  I came out right when Fantasy Castle came out.

Guess what, I never had a Dark Age since I never played with lego as a kid. I started with my child about 6 years ago, that means I'm in a perma Golden Age since I'm at a point where I have enough disposable income to buy any set I want and to chase after themes I'm interested in such as the medieval ones.  😛

Well, the problem for now is I have the means, but not the time 🤪

Finished up this bad boy last night. I’m loving the older builds/colors lately. Starting to notice what many have stated before, how the little parts in newer sets have become excessive.
