What LEGO set did you build today?

Two of our more popular threads are "What LEGO set(s) did you buy today?" and "What LEGO set(s) did you sell today?" These threads are filled with great information. But we all know LEGO bricks are about "building" LEGO sets and models, so why shouldn't we talk about it on this site as well? I mean, many LEGO sets that are fantastic builds are also investment winners, so why shouldn't people share some of their experiences of build and set quality that might affect LEGO set values, either positively or negatively? Let us know what you built today and your overall thoughts on the set. Don't forget to leave more in depth reviews in our LEGO SET REVIEWS section...

Four of us had a small building session late last night, while watching Tombstone, and here are the results.  I built the White House and I really like the end result but I disliked the process.

Thanks to toycrazedchris for the Mars Rover and it was fun breaking the seals on 4 sets at once. :)

I used to watch Tombstone over and over.  Horrible reviews but I love it lol

Nice builds as well.

Im amazed you have time to build anything

I'd been promising my daughter we'd build some stuff so held true to my promise.  Knocked out a few sets with her.  She can be very convincing!

Never seems to be enough time in the day.

Built Lego Movie Rescue Reinforcements. It was a surprisingly fun build. The fire mech is way cool.

About a week ago I was at my local St. Vinnies looking for a new book or two. I always check the toy section and that day was no different. I grabbed a bag of LPS for the school and was just about to leave disappointed when a fresh cart of toys appeared. I squealed when I saw the employee throw a gallon ziplock of LEGO on the shelf. She giggled at me and said she had more in her cart. I ended up with five -gallon bags and a stack of 10" road base plates. The sad and funny part was when I went to pay for it the people at the counter were talking about a guy that was in the store earlier buying LEGO and asked if they had more. They told him no and then found these bags. I wonder what he got? I had a weekend project of sorting and detecting what sets I had. So far I have found and built a black monarchs castle #6085, Victory Lap Raceway #6395, Battering ram #6062, Sonar Transmitting Cruiser #6783 and I still have a huge pile of red and yellow pieces that look like more speed track sets by the mini figs. I paid $30.00 and have had way more fun than that. Lol. It floors me that I was able to build each set with only a few missing pieces. Ty for letting me fill your ears with old lady craziness. Lol it is so nice to have adults that understand. Lol

Just finished building vintage Black Falcons Fortress and Legend Guarded Inn. Now on to selling them.

Usual kinda stuff...took a break from building my Taj Mahal...built a little architecture set...called Marina Bay Sands! :D

Very impressed with the SNOT work required to get the 1 x 2 white grilles etc facing outwards etc

Well either Leia went to the dark side or Vader is feeling "Oh so pretty".

He had a lot going on under that helmet

When you lack the minifigures, you figure out something else.

Built this Ecto to check if the used set I got off eBay was complete, it was not.

Birds. Awesome instructions you get 3 seperate high quality books. The Robin was the best build but the Blue Jay looks the best IMO.

Don't laugh...watched my son build flying flusher last night. After all the jokes on here about it I almost regretted buying handful. It's actually kinda cute. Great build for little kid.

I used to watch Tombstone over and over. Horrible reviews but I love it lol

Nice builds as well.

Actually one of the best quotable movies of all time! Guilty pleasure movie for sure

Um, that would be "The Princess Bride", an hour and forty minutes of back to back one liners.

Built Minecraft Ender Dragon with my son.  Dragon's pretty well done with the working wings and the Endermen are really cool.

Also, Tombstone is an awesome movie.  In college we would play a drinking game with it where we would drink everytime they said "cowboy" or you saw a red sash.  Good times.

So my daughter now wants her builds posted lol, so here was tonights.

I DVR'd this over Christmas, because it was on TV.  It had been years since I saw it.  The amount of times I LOL'd was incalculable.
