Is there an extra discount the day you open a RedCard?

Hi guys,

 

I thought I read somewhere that if you open a RedCard you get something like 15% off that day. Now I can't find anything about that. Is this still available? Maybe I'm imagining things - that's possible too.

    Not on Target's RedCard.

     

    However, the day you open TRU credit card (in store) you get a 15% off coupon good for the whole day (or until the limit is reached on your temporary TRU CC)
