Updating to use as general thread for Walmart Canada.

Happy to report I got shipping confirmation on the ToO from a couple days back. I'm hopeful for good condition - the last 4 arrives in pairs in Lego boxes and were pristine.

Received my 4 RE's today, all 22r5 as expected. However they were shipped in a WM box. Either i was wrong and it's 3 a case, or they took them out of the case into their own box. I was sure they were 4 to a case, but oh well no big deal as they are all in good shape.

Canada post decided to pull this on me:

All that's missing is a picture of the SAW clowns (Jigsaw?) face saying "i want to play a game..." Needless to say this was a pain in the ass to wiggle out haha.

This is why we still need home delivery (in hand ! ).. .. now catch a skunk , put it into that small box lock it up.. and watch the delivery guy run tomorrow morning upon the opening .... a huge surprise THANK YOU for my box ! pouahahhah

well... at least they didn't try to crush & jump on it enough to fit it into one of the smaller gpb.

Just received 4x RE today also, shipped in TLG shipping box, 4 to a box.  (a much more "size appropriate" box than yours appears thou - just big enough to fit. :-)

This has happened a few times over the last month or so... Some people have had some shipped but with old seal codes and plenty of others have orders "Waiting for new stock."

 

Gee, the entire theme is oos & not shipping until October.  (on LEGO Shop at Home Canada)

Well, not completely true. Lego had a couple Jurassic Park III sets...

That might as well have been in the Jurassic era as far as Lego is concerned. That's 14 years ago, when Lego was only just starting to do franchises with Star Wars, and those sets were clunkers compared to today's sleek ones. Plus JP 3 was a bomb.

Lego store has plenty of these. I guess it's meant for people who don't have a lego store anywhere nearby?
I was reading these forums and saw lots of JW postings and people stocking up, but these sets are new so you may want to avoid loading up. You'll end up locking up funds which could be utilized on the SW or PS.

Might want to consider a few REs ... Totally gone from my city for a couple months at least and none expected. FWIW my local Lego store manager hat TRU and Walmart in Canada may not get any more JW sets as all stock has been redirected to LEGO stores as supply is low.

London Drugs also had some good sales on the JW sets so people are probably hedging their bets and/or taking advantage of te exchange to sell in the US.

Almost every WM around me has RE in stock now (grrrr), and i think most QFLL's are tired of scooping them up and they haven't moved in a week or so. I'm not picking anymore up due to my stock level, however they are still good flips. not getting over $100 anymore when they were more scarce, but am still seeing over $90. However i don't want to get caught with too many at this point.

Just about down to a safer stock level (had 25 or so to start with), and then we wait and see what LEGO Shop at Home does with all the back-orders which are "expected" to ship Oct 12/15.

Speaking of flips; DS still available at WM.ca at retail. Actually sold one recently to the US for a nice chunk of change. $70 to ship that beast down there!

For flip it is a lame duck in MTL area, only sold 1 for a gentleman who want to finish his JW collection.

Yeah the local listings of this for me are like $60, yuck. Most of my sales recently have been to the US. I think it might be a bit more scarce down there right now than in Canada. Also the exchange rate helps!

I know you're in Canada but in all fairness, this could be anywhere south in the US...

I'm not sensing an all out production of JW - if so, they'd probably be happy to take back-orders on S&H if they were 100% sure they could fulfill them for Christmas. I can only imagine how irate parents would be, though, if they took those orders and filled them in January. Probably too early of a flip on kijiji - early bird parents probably already bought their JW sets, and those that haven't probably won't panic buy for another month or month and a half. 

 

Also, picked up the last RE on the stocktracker in the entire area around me, as well as buying all the RR and IR I could find. While I was there, a woman was arguing with the young cashier about the Hulkbuster as it is in the flyer this week next to $24.86 (but definitely isn't on sale in store or online at that price). She said they should honor the price it is next to, and the toy manager agreed. I stepped in and asked very, very politely if she would do the same for me. End result was four Hulkbusters at $24.86 each. If you see your toy manager in the section while shopping, might be worth it to ask...just might get them to agree.
