Just curious if there's a regular frequency when VIP points are offered (say, particular months of the year). Or do they simply announce it as the time approaches?

The store calenders will usually advertise double VIP points, and they usually come out two months ahead of time.

When should we expect the next one Double VIP?? I want to make some purchases, but would like to get double the points if I can.. 

The store calendar. The Brick Fan usually posts them early, that's the Lego news site I follow. Here's January and here's February. No double points being advertised for the next two months.

well the calendars did not show any of the weekend deals in December.  However I can not say how often they do them, or how they typically advertise.

Not sure if it's a yearly recurring thing but last year we had a double VIP point period in april.

If history is any indicator we'll see double points again in April, then October.
