I've seen some threads that address this issue from a sellar perspective but I'm asking as a buyer in this situation. I won an auction for Lego items on eBay. USPS shows delivered, but I did not receive the item. I enquired at my servicing post office and they have no packages waiting for me. They can only give me the answer that the postman left the package at my house. I live on a rural route.
The sellar seems like a nice guy, states he sells a lot of Lego online without issue. I don't want to screw him over, but I don't want to be out a couple hundred dollars either. I honestly don't know if the package was dropped off at the wrong house, someone helped themselves to it off the front porch ( I get lego deliveries several times a week, so I often have packages sitting out) or what happened to it. The sellar is implying that I'm trying to scam him, which I don't think is very fair, although I do empathize with him.
Do I have options here? If it shows delivered on the USPS tracker am I disqualified from the eBay or PayPal protections?
