71008 - Minifigures - Series 13

Here is the rumored series 13 list translated from German:

Galaxy Trooper

Alien Trooper

Evil Wizard

King

Goblin

Lady Cyclops

Snake Charmer

Paleontologist

Carpenter

Hot Dog Guy

Sheriff

Samurai

Disco Diva

Unicorn Girl

Fencer

Egyptian Warrior

I imagine the price will be the same.  Shame since it looks like a bunch of rehashes.

I guess the Hot Dog Guys didn't like Burger King stepping his way into their territory. Hotdogs and burgers don't mix.... by BrickTrip

  • German site Promobricks.de posted the first leaked photos for the new Series     They say the sources is the 2015 LEGO Catalog.   Honestly, I have to say - I don't

Man o man that Wizard, King and Egyptian warrior..... AWESOME!

Samurai warrior girl also looks cool, love her armor and colors!

Agreed. Wish they would accelerate the rate of Series releases... they are all unique in their own ways.

  • 2 weeks later...

So these are popping up at targets. Anyone in MA find them yet?

Edited by IMDeus

A lot of good figures, but the Hot Dog Guy and Unicorn Girl are at the top of the list.

Hot Dog for sure.

I also diggin the Ron Jeremy Disco guy.   :pleasantry:

I was trying to find some also. Have they been released yet in local stores?

Uh oh.  Who has a upc code, anyone?

The target Id is the same as series 12

I was wondering if anyone determined a reliable way to sort out the 16 unique figured in this set.

Thanks

The most reliable way is to feel for the unique piece or pieces for each character.  Study the pictures and determine what is easiest to feel for.  For some characters you may have to feel for two different pieces in order to be sure.  I have been using this method since I started collecting these in series 7 and have a 100% accuracy rate getting the characters I want.  It takes a little practice, but if you have some time when you are at the store, you can be sure to get what you want.

For example, in series 13, the evil wizard is the only character with a dress slope (the bottom part).  This piece is quite easy to determine when feeling the package.  Once you feel that piece, you know you will get the wizard.

Could you tell me the unique parts in each. I bought a bunch yesterday and couldn't find the snake guy and the hot dog guy.

Very useful link for each of the parts, thanks for posting.

Anyone know where to just buy a sealed box of these things?

As for feeling the bags, like already mentioned, find the unique piece to each and isolate that into a corner of the bag....works great for me, just takes some patience.

When I'm actually smooshing, I like to look at the picture on the box.  That way, I can feel a piece, and then I've got a visual guide to go along with my imagination.  I'm usually 100% accurate when I do that.

Merged with existing S13 thread.

Has anyone input one of the codes from these yet? Just hoping there isn't a Mr. Gold type prize in the collect and win contest.

I bought 10 packs at my local target the other day. So these are starting to show up.

Anyone know where to just buy a sealed box of these things?

The main guy that sells CMF on eBay will be taking pre-orders any day now but his will not be available 'til end of Jan. Also will be in the $200 range, so no huge savings for waiting. If you only want one or two boxes, might be best just to wait for them to pop-up on eBay but at least a pre-order from a reputable seller will lock in your price if the price happens to rise quickly.

I picked up 18 of these randomly.  I think I am actually still going to buy a case of these when they pop up on ebay.  Hopefully the starting price will come out to less than $4 a pack.

  • Author

saw that too. Not much of a discount. Might not get a case now.

The price on Series 13 is hard to make money. Series 12, I was able to get them at $2.99 each. Not the case anymore.

Buy in Price = $4.24 (6% tax here)

Sell on eBay = $7.99 (the cheapest one) w/ FREE Shipping

After fee I only make $0.50 each.

Well... I would not expect to make money until the series retires, but for a CMF that's usually just a few months after release.  I am however very doubtful about the new $4 retail price per figure, so I would not expect to make very much unless you can get the case for $180 or less (maybe on bricklink this is possible).  I really don't understand Lego pricing.  The company does nothing about counterfeits, but doubles their own price per figure from series 1 to 12 (just a few years).  Going forward, you can count on all CMF series being counterfeited.  The Simpsons and Lego Movie figs are being massively copied and sold for $1 per figure on eBay.

Please try to keep the counterfeit conversations in those threads.
