So, I got home from work yesterday and my son had completed the Tie Fighter for me. Got my lights out last night and put it in front of the camera.

  • Finished the main build tonight, just have bag 12 which is the stand / minifig.  Will try to do that in the morning at the warehouse tomorrow.     Looks really good when finished, very stu

Miss Crump has no problem taking lots of orders, she just can't fill'em all.

Isn't she the Manager at the Walmart you frequent...........You know, the store with all those Lego Markdowns.

Been Cancelled twice

I did a ship to store and it says shipped already and ready for pickup by April 4th..

Mine just arrived via USPS. Odd... the shipping carton appears "hand made"... only slightly larger than the box itself, with no room for dunnage.  Came a bit creased, but probably not worth complaining about.

I ordered three last Tuesday and they arrived yesterday. One huge box with room to spare. The shipping box was beat up pretty good, so I opened it expecting the worst. To my surprise, they left two of them sealed inside of the original Lego shipping carton, with the third loose on top. They threw in some craft paper for "protection". The loose one only has a couple small dings, so I am pretty satisfied with this deal.

I hate how Walmart now applies these square stickers to almost every set .

Picked mine up yesterday.  Box was not good, but is ok since I am going to build one at some point.

I ordered 1, cancelled it due to the quantity of 1 for me and UCS sets from WM don't get along well. I then ordered 2 and they came yesterday in a lego case. Now the question is....do I open that case to inspect b/c it looks nice on the outside. I was only planning on keeping 1 b/c I had to hedge my order knowing 1 might come all f'd up...I'm new to the game so a lego case isn't something I have gotten before...does that add any value to the pair or just consider it a box like everything else?

Open it .... Unless it is a 10179 it won't matter much ;)

Gotcha, will do...Hopefully 1 of the 2 made it unscathed.

Also, occasionally there's a packing list inside...

Still available so I'll take one to build. Turns out I had bluebird bucks from Amex so that saved me another 30.

Great build. Won't disappoint and not a huge time suck.

It's not really a huge time suck, only because you essentially are doubling up everything, so the instructions are pretty lite.

Then again, the design of the ship doesn't lend itself to anything else.  Having said all that, the finished model is absolutely fantastic.  It's seriously almost one solid piece.  It feels like you could throw it against the wall and it wouldn't break.

I keep seeing banner ads for the lower price, but when I click them and go to the walmart website it is back at 199. Anyone else getting the same thing?

Got mine yesterday, looks like directly shipped from Lego. Box was beat to hell. Luckily I am planning on building and displaying this one. I started it last night, damn the thing is big!!
