The cheapest I got them was 105...  this will be the Pet shop of the UCS's

Looks like the UCS Tie Fighter is retired now?  Sold out on Lego LEGO Shop at Home.  Thoughts?  Don't care?  
 
 

I recall last year and correct me if I'm wrong but the sandcrawler sold out and everyone panicked and went out and bought out walmart. Set came back full force a week later as I recall amd slowly crawled to retirement about 8 months later.

It´s not retired - yet. This is what TLG do when they have a sale and run out of stock to stop people backordering them indefinitely at the low price. If you remember, the flyer said limited quantities available.

According to this reddit thread the TIE Fighter will be retiring next year

Just wanted to share some pictures of my finished UCS Tie Fighter.  Lighting by Brickstuff pico LEDs.  The laser cannons are on an 'pulse fire' mode in the Lighting Effects Controller while the engines are on a 'Flicker' mode.  Mounted on the wall using a TV mount and a bent L-bracket.  This inserts into the bottom side of the model and gives it the angle of attack.

target and amazon blowing them out for $50 wasn't good enough? (granted it was a year ago).

With all the deep discounts on tie fighers. Often being available from 100-160$. How do people think this set is going to perform?

I believe it has more display ability then the Red 5. Seemingly produced in similar mass quantities. I'd guess after retirement it will sit at 280 for quite some time. Depending on buy in this would be an easy 50-80$ profit.

im not too optimistic .... guessing $50 would be good , but sad in plenty of ways.
