So, I got home from work yesterday and my son had completed the Tie Fighter for me. Got my lights out last night and put it in front of the camera.

  • Finished the main build tonight, just have bag 12 which is the stand / minifig.  Will try to do that in the morning at the warehouse tomorrow.     Looks really good when finished, very stu

Just wanted to share some pictures of my finished UCS Tie Fighter.  Lighting by Brickstuff pico LEDs.  The laser cannons are on an 'pulse fire' mode in the Lighting Effects Controller while the engine

Looks like it's sold-out in the US as well, says it will ship in 30 days.

Will come back soon, this won't retire until 2-3 years.

Anyone got pics of this next to the 10240 X-Wing?  I'm sorely tempted to get them both and put them on display.

May the 4th, and the new UCS Lego is Out Of Stock... B)  sweet.  Glad I got 1 on order.

I wonder if it may be similar to the Tumbler roll out, ... out of stock online, but B&M stores will receive a shipment each week?  We'll see...

Nice.  Thanks Kugar.  They do look nice together.  Good to get a sense of their respective sizes.

Just called to check. Lego store Concord, NC does have UCS TIE in stock (no more Admiral Yularen, tho).

As is the case with almost anything UCS Lego; that Tie looks much bigger than i thought!

Agreed!  I saw it in store and was surprised.  I just finished building it last night and it looks nice.  Need to put up a few shelves before setting it up in display area though :(

Half-way through the build of this set today.  With the wife out of town, I broke down in a moment of weakness and decided to open my sole 75095 and one of my 10240 X-Wings.  Both are wonderful builds, and look far better in person than the pictures.  Both sets are larger than you'd think, and the TIE build has some great features.  I think they've done a wonderful job with the central sphere and interior.

If you're on the fence about either of these sets, I'd recommend them both.  10240 is so much more impressive in person; the box photos and box size really don't prepare you for how large these sets are once built.

Finished a couple UCS sets this weekend, including the Tie Fighter.  Looks great next to the others!  Wonderful builds, all of them.  Some innovative stuff in the TIE build, including the wing attachments.  Have really enjoyed these.

Is that a crazy Christmas Tree Stand Imperial Fighter flanking from the East?

I think that's actually a cat toy. Possibly playing the role of a DS turret firing at our hero.

You would be correct.

Buy a second UCS Tie to complete your "trench run"

I would love to, but for cost purposes, and my sanity in building wings, I am going to say this is after Black 2 is blown up.
