November 16, 201411 yr A friend of mine needs to send me something from the USA, it is about 1500 grams with a value of $600. I can't find the costs of shipping incl. insurance for this, could someone from the USA perhaps help me out? What would the costs be for: Package ~1500grams, $600 value, insured to The Netherlands. Thank you in advance.

November 16, 201411 yr $35.66 to send via USPS Priority. $45.77 to send via USPS Priority Express. Print label via Paypal. Unless you need it really fast, there's no reason to choose Express. Value is too high to use First Class.

November 16, 201411 yr That sounds plausible for shipping, but bear in mind that an item worth $600 may also be subject to import duties and value added tax (BTW).http://www.belastingdienst.nl/wps/wcm/connect/bldcontentnl/belastingdienst/prive/douane/goederen_ontvangen_uit_het_buitenland/
