Just seeing this now over on Brickset. Not as good as the Toy Workshop IMHO, but still a pretty cool set, and one that will make another great addition on a winter village layout.

Pretty much "meh" except for that lamp post. I can imagine a MOC city square with plenty of those...

Well, I like it in that it gives me some ideas for my Winter Village.  This can easily be expanded into something pretty cool.

I ordered a Horizon Express with the toy workshop, recieved the ice skating instead.

Feel a little disappointed.

I don't see any on ebay, what do you think it would be worth in the uk?

Hmm.. you were disappointed with getting a set 1 month BEFORE anyone else ? I cannot help you :(

As a Canadian, this is definitely a cool set for me. I do wonder about the hockey sticks, but maybe they just wanted them to have a more "rough" look to make for an authentic game of pond hockey where the players are using whatever equipment they have available to them.

I'll be the only one to say I like it. :-) Anyone who wants to dump one after it is released let me know.

Try a high price, on Buy it Now.

Something like 40 pounds, but only for two days. Free (and fast with tracking and insurance) shipping included, worldwide in europe. If not sold, then try 30 pounds, also two days. Etc. Maybe someone who is rich enough will bite. That's about the spirit for early released sets IMO.

Right now you have 14 friends on this topic, according to the poll. ;)

I don't think it is that anyone hates this set, just that the Elf promo is considerably better.  That is my feeling on it at least.

I really don't get how a hill of snow can look so rigid. It looks like a white slide in a playground.

I'll add my own "Well, it's okay." Will be nice to have as I like winter stuff, at least.

I like it, combining a few of them would make a nice scene. Elves piss me off anyways.

It's better than nothing.... I prefer the elves though.

i also prefe the elves set - the new set sux

im going to get only one... but waiting for black friday maybe i buy more and get more of this ugly set but its waisting my storage ;)

I like everything except those 'hockey sticks'...

Whatever it was, the kid had to stand OUTSIDE of the ice rink to play it. ;)

Guess I can save money at LEGO Shop at Home next month.  Definitely pass for me.

Hmm not as impressive as the elf workshop.

Pretty nice little set, and I'm more than happy with brick built hockey sticks.  I dig it.

Really don't care about the set that much. Nothing unique. At least the Elves Toy-shop has a workshop, a bulldozer, a train and a tin soldier toys Plus the colorful elves. Might just ride this set out or just get one for collecting sake.

nobody likes it...but its only 3 days run LEGO Shop at Home in November....

Speak for yourself.

Looking at the new seasonal set I think this set might have some value after all. Not sure what they will offer next Christmas. But this set definitely fits the theme, and could see some demand from collectors because of that.
