October 13, 201411 yr This one is rich... How did the hackers even find an 8" floppy disc in this day and age to upload the hack into their systems? Can probably narrow down the hacker profile to people in their 50's with expertise in CP/M. Of all the in-store payment systems to hack, why Kmart? Not like there is a lot of money to be made from the typical in-store customer. Any hacker that follows brickpicker would know they don't need to swipe customer's payment info. Kmart readily gives away stuff. Will my free credit monitoring showing up as SYW Bonus Points? Redeemable in-store only, I suppose.
October 13, 201411 yr I work with a guy that still uses an Apple II GS. Floppies and all. He seems to have an endless supply of dot matrix printer carts.
October 13, 201411 yr UPDATE: The hacker has been caught: He made off with $37.63 and 9000 bonus points valid only on a treadmill from Sears. While he was at it he really pissed off Mr Rooney by changing his 9 absences to only 2. Edited October 13, 201411 yr by sroster
