Newish to Lego (big thanks to the kids), and I was wondering what recentish sets have larger animals. Kids want to make a zoo. Thoughts so far are:

Friends pets and line: plenty of little pets

Prince of Persia had camels and ostriches

Atlantis has plenty of underwater animals

City theme w farm had some barnyard animals

What am I missing that is probably obvious to you?

You can always Bricklink animals as well if you don't want to buy the entire set and only want the animals.

My kids love the animals as well, so I'm always adding some onto orders to fill minimum order amounts.

I wanted the sled dogs from the arctic sets, but didn't want the arctic sets themselves. I think it was about $3 each to Bricklink.

I plan on BL'ing the Huskies as well as I'm not that interested in the sets for opening.  My son loves the dogs and the polar bear so they will eventually bought.

Don't forget the gators! Most recent set and still available one would be Bad Cop's Pursuit.

I think some of the forthcoming City and Pirate sets have them as well.

It is funny how Lego has redesigned so many of their critters from the dog to the shark and yet absolutely nothing has been changed even in the slightest for their crocodile. It's still the same snapper now as it was then. Haha.
