I did get an alert they were available early today on Amazon (about 5 am PST), but by the time I saw it they were all gone. Does anyone know how many were available?

I slept in till 11am, and then didn't really get on BP till just now. I know I've been slacking on my BP frequency today LOL

I have a feeling that the after market prices for these will plummet. Everyone who wants a set probably already has one and everyone else is just stockpiling them. For being hard to get, it seems everyday I get an alert for this set being in stock somewhere.

I think they may plummet too, but only temporarily. Eventually they will become more and more scarce and increase in value. I guess time will tell.

Like i mentioned earlier, and i am by no means an expert. If this is the only Minecraft set that Lego releases then due to the popularity of the game, it should go up in value. Minecraft is really,really popular. I don't see it going away any time soon.

I have a feeling that no one will be talking about this set in a few months......which is OK by me, I have heard enough about minecraft in the last week to last me 5 lifetimes! I gave in to the madness and bought 2.....I wanna puke everytime I open my closet and see them lol

Geez Stephen, you've got a real love/hate thing going on with Minecraft. Lol. Just a side note... I decided to flip one of these today just to make a little spending money. I listed it on eBay for $59.95, and it was gone in just over an hour. There is still plenty of interest here.

Guess who was available for a very short time on LEGO.com today??? It was gone right away but even now says only "temporarily" out of stock.
