I love these sets. Very classy. Legos for adults. Do you think they will appreciate well?

Where would one look to find the Studio in their local Barnes and Noble? I was there today and it didn't seem like it would have been in the little display of lego architecture

Ingesting note. I was just in my local store & they have removed the architecture studio display and replaced it with a generic architecture display.

21010 Robie House is marked as Retiring Soon on LEGO Shop at Home... and also 'call to check availability'.

Still $175 on Amazon though

Aren't these easier to bricklink than other themes?

Geez, I plum forgot this thread had a poll before. I went and readded one.

Aren't these easier to bricklink than other themes?

Many are in particular the small to mid sized ones. When they get to be the size of the Robie House, things get tricky. Also a couple like Brandenburg Gate have some rare colored pieces such as all 80 of those 'cheese slopes' in sand green.

You still need the book plus the printed plate.

the easiest to BL is architecture studio. But no decent architect is going to do that, as what is a mere $300 to a professional ?

The Studio has a 270 page book combining architectural theory with legos. That's the draw of that set, not the bricks.

My son is into the Architecture sets big time, has stopped collecting Star Wars sets because of them.  Some on his wish list are:  St. Louis Arch; Golden Gate Bridge; Epcot's Spaceship Earth; Great Wall of China; St. Basil's Cathederal; Great Pyramids; Roman Colosseum; Statue of Liberty; Lincoln Memorial; Oriental Pearl Tower; Mt. Rushmore; the Hollywood Sign; Fort Sumter; Forbidden City; Hoover Dam; and the Great American Tower (hey, I've brainwashed him with following the Cincinnati Reds, so he always sees this when we visit, and when we're in the stadium).

St Louis Arch would be cool! I imagine we will see a Colosseum soon.

I know this would be an odd one, but I would love to see an Everest, or maybe a Machu Picchu.  Could be cool?

colossus of rhodes would be cool.

Lincoln Memorial would be cool if they could figure out how to do it. That's not really Architecture though per se.

The Kremlin would be amazing if they did it on a huge scale.

Those are all great.  I know the first thing that popped into my mind was the St. Louis Arch.

The House on the Rock

The Casino on Catalina Island, Grommens Chinese Theater, Fenway Park, Golden Gate Bridge, Space Mountain (from Disneyland), The Breakers (in Newport, RI), Arya Hotel in Vegas, Flat Iron Building, Getty Museaum

Nice suggestions but too much detail in some for a smallish set I think. Since I'm the UK, Buckingham Palace, Forth Bridge, Angel of the North, Stonehenge, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's, etc. may be good

The Winchester Mansion, if done right it could be a fun set. Stairs and doors to nowhere faucets on exterior walls and ghosts. Lots of ghosts. Or maybe Hurst Castle.

Buckingham palace,   the great wall of china,  niagra falls????  but the most impressive and a gold mine.... the pyramids of Giza with sphinx...

I would like to see the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Clooney and Pitt minifigures robbing it optional.

Should I get these now? I don't like these sets much, but like the line.

If you like the Robie House get it now. Its dried up everywhere except FAO.

I've got 3 Robie Houses ;)
