LEGO has announced four days early that there will be a big announcement soon!  My guess is that LEGO will be rebooting classic space, because of the test card pattern, which includes all the colors of classic spacemen.  Click here to see what the Brickfan has to say about it.

Does anyone remember when the Segway came out?  They did these huge countdown ads, I think even during the super bowl and then it was revealed.

 

And this reminds me of the greatest irony of all time...the owner of the Segway company died falling off of a cliff on a Segway.

I've been expecting a new space line from LEGO in 2015, so if this really is a Classic Space reboot, I'll be purchasing all the sets if they're a continuation of the improvements made in Benny's Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP!!!.

I think Brickfan is right. I would love to see classic space, but there are so many leaks about upcoming product lines seems hard to imagine a new line could stay under the radar. Ideas results seem likely. 

 

Related to the Ideas projects - is The Big Bang Theory well known outside of the US? Seems unlikely they do something like that if it is only known in the US.

 

For a left-field guess, it's probably some sort of new TV show or something. A classic space cartoon with eventual product line would be awesome, I will say!

Honestly I'm not sure how they will sell.

If they come up with a nice new design and cool new stuff (like the cuusoo exosuit for example) it could work though.

I have the opportunity to buy close by in person a brand new almost mint condition 10179 UCS MF never opened for $2,500.

I just can't bring myself to do it.

Though I guess if I flip it quick I could sell for $4,000 on ebay.  I want to buy one for me.

I take risks in this as we all do I just do not think I want to take a major single item tank risk like this one.

I agree and I wouldn't want to sell it but I wouldn't want my $2,500 to turn into $1,000 either.  Decisions... Decisions...

You already should worry. I noticed now more retailers starting with brickvesting. You can buy retired sets now like the 6868 helicarrier and 6860 Batcave now from a retailer in the Netherlands. If the retailers jump in, we can retire and go EOL.

 

Maybe that is legos goal. To destroy the evil resellers.

Maybe it is time to quit, as much as i LOVE what we are doing here. It dominates all of my free time. Time to free up my $40k.

Don't get me wrong, i think that what we are doing here is very profitable but the competition is getting bigger and Lego 'hates' us. This site is a good example of it.
