This is a set I have been waiting for personally. I love this set. I can tell you that I have ordered two already. One for putting away and one for putting in my foyer for Halloween. This set is an instant classic.

I ordered 5 at Target. Went back for 5 more and gone. Not sure if they will ship since was saying not available yet allowed me to put in cart. Crossing my fingers and continuing to watch Target. Now says out of stock and won't allow to put into cart so think this time it's OOS.

It was OOS two earlier times this morning and then came back.

I didn't see the big red OOS sign at all until now. I'll be watching though and will keep updated on my earlier order.

It's still the afternoon. I think we'll have to wait some more hours so see it disappear.

Still 21OCT shipping date at Lego UK so plenty of life in the old dog yet.  If there's a rumour of it lasting much longer, I'll cancel yesterday's order of 5.

If they push the ship date back again in the next few days, it could be sold out by the end of Oct.

Missed out on today's fun.  Would be happy to load up on more HHs if I can get them.  Will keep an eye on Target.

I think Haunted House is going to come back in full force for one last time (at least). 

Last production date code is 37R4, which means September 8th - 14th. 

Since then we haven't seen this batch appear anywhere in any significant number. As we all have guessed, a batch has at least 10000 sets to make economic sense. So where are they? I think they are on trucks, at warehouses, in airplanes, etc - basically moving along the distribution channels to retail outlets.

The most recent ones you guys got from Shop at Home are a portion of the batch, Lego used it to fulfill backorders.

 

These are just my thoughts (and guesses).

 

However, there's an alternate scenario that is very scary, scarier than the set itself. That is, the 10,000 sets in the batch have been mostly located to backorders and almost nothing left for retail. The scary thing here is not that the set is no longer available. It's that there were so many orders to fill in the final couple of weeks. And we all know, that's the behavior of us brickulators. There are just too many of us   .
