Some unexpected changes in the 2014 version of "LEGO Architecture Studio - 21050"

Featured Replies

I just bought my second copy of 21050 - the LEGO Architecture Studio set.  Apart from the 10$ price increase, I noticed a number of unexpected changes were made to the set, branding and packaging.  I shared these changes in the following short article...

Have you noticed any other changes?  Do other LEGO sets see this much change in the middle of the release?  Discuss!

Sincerely,

Wasn't there a typo in the old book? Did they correct that?

I think it mentioned the wrong architects name for one of the buildings shown.

Edit:

" Editorial comment: After the LEGO Studio book was printed, an editorial mistake was found. In the Studio book on page 85 the text reads:

Edited by kobus

I'm curious if the 2nd batch of Studio (early in 2014 when Target.com and others started getting the set back in stock for 149.99 after having been sold out through the holidays) also has the corrected text? I had heard a rumor it did.

If so that would mean 3 distinct books.

Version 1 available in 2013 until Thanksgiving when it sold out

Version 2 available in early 2014 briefly then sold out

Version 3 available since August at the new price point with new box design and a much slimmer book.
