Making a LEGO turtle like a miniaturized version of the classic wooden LEGO duck was inspired I think. I lost count of every entry in the list but all were interestingly unique one or another. There were some builds that looked a little too close to the original turtle from the set but most managed to achieve something similar yet different.

Lego has just revealed the long awaited poster showing off many of the entries from this contest including the winners, Peter Reid's original design, and ones selected by the jury. A copy will be sent to each turtle's respective builder.

I also would have chosen otherwise, though the winner is also kind of cute and outstanding amongst the others... still others seem to be better designed.
