Rumor has it that Lego will be releasing a UCS Slave 1 in 2014. (Eurobricks, BrickFan, etc). 

 

I for one am literally thrilled if this is so. 

 

Slave 1 is my favorite of the iconic ships in Star Wars, and it hosts the two best bounty hunters ever. I'm sure I'll acquire over twenty of these if its really going to be released. Speculation says around May 4th promotion again. 

 

Anyone else excited? Or would people have rather seen a different UCS model?

I'm guessing this was going to be the big reveal at brick con in october so I assume to expect more images when the official press release comes out.

Just wanted to ask for ideas on release date and how it ties to what was released last fall for Star Wars timing and last years calendar.

The October calendar shows no VIP set that is early release.

Do they throw release surprises in unannounced for VIP early access or did they last year or does all this point to a November release?

Also I have learned from the tumbler and with Christmas coming I will stock up on this set early.

Some say it'll be released January even... the Tumbler kind of screwed up the Star Wars UCS set releases. I'm thinking November at the earliest if not November they'll skip December and wait until January.

Now I need this in addition to the Tumbler...  This years gettin' pricey!

That thing is huge! I'm surprised at the price as well, I thought it could be $250 given the piece count is almost the same as the Ewok Village. I guess the EV is more expensive because it has a ton of figs?

Only have the first Slave I, which at that time has been cool.

But now that the new UCS is going to make its appearance I'm really glad that I never bought one of the "newer" ones ^.^

Could this be the turboflip of turboflips if Lego underestimate demand? Of course, you'll have to visit lots of shops on day one assuming it's an early VIP release.
