Rumor has it that Lego will be releasing a UCS Slave 1 in 2014. (Eurobricks, BrickFan, etc).

I for one am literally thrilled if this is so.

Slave 1 is my favorite of the iconic ships in Star Wars, and it hosts the two best bounty hunters ever. I'm sure I'll acquire over twenty of these if its really going to be released. Speculation says around May 4th promotion again.

Anyone else excited? Or would people have rather seen a different UCS model?

Saw this pic on reddit today. Sure the DO isn't a huge modular or anything, but man the Slave I looks massive.

I finished building the 75060 UCS Slave 1 the other day.  Here's a quick size comparison between this set with the Hasbro POTF toy (uses the Kenner 1980 toy mold) and set 8097 from 2010.  A

Should be a winner with a long enough hold. Can’t see them remaking a UCS version again. Plenty of cheaper versions no doubt but they will only reinforce how good this one is. Kinda like the Sandcrawler.

Remake coming in the summer. We shall see.

Where’d you get that info?

The ones I’ve seen are just a regular set.

Right.  That makes sense.  Won't affect the UCS values.

Oh just a new regular set is what I’m seeing online.

Just curious if you guys are planning to sell off your 75060s before the release of the 20th anniversary Slave 1 75243. Do we think the 75243 will have any affect on 75060s value/appreciation?

Nope.

If anybody in the UK wants one at RRP,  I'm all ears ?

Same goes for the UCS Tie Fighter too!

Smart move. I got rid of them as soon as they retired, used the momentum. Good for personal build, not so much for investment.

Not really, I won't get any takers ;-(

Cheapest price for a new and sealed UCS Tie Fighter on Bricklink is £98 so looks like it's done very badly. I assume this is the reason why TabbyBoy is so anti-Star Wars sets now?
