If all I had to deal with was scowls from the wife, I would never ask permission.  Unfortunately, she has some other tools in her arsenal to make me regret certain decisions.

You could sell a child? Maybe get a few more SSD's. Try sticking a trade request up on the site, you might get some interest.

The SSD rumor can also be a bad thing.  Let's say there is an SSD and Han Solo is the Captain/General/Admiral...whatever.  Maybe LEGO says, "Hey, we should still keep producing these things."

I don't think that ban hammer will be permanent like the LEGO Shop at Home ban hammer. You can always try an alias but that may cause bigger problems
