Interesting that on Target site itself, SSD can be found only by searching for "10221". You cannot find it via "lego" search term or "destroyer", sorting by price. it is also cannot be found under "building sets", sorting by price. Search index did not update yet?

Type Lego superstar destroyer, it's there.

The problem is that many paid $399 or lower for this which may not justify the $500 price tag, but you are right. This day will live in infamy. Those not paying $500 now will regret.

emazers, is that you? ;)

I'm about tapped out on SSD's, no more room and no desire to spend more money on them.  I'm glad some people here are able to get them now, probably one of the last chances to get in on it.  If you have none, $500 is as good as you're gonna find, and you get it even lower by using the redcard.

Will be interesting when people start reporting the production codes on these.

so 224 hrs? :cheese:

It seems whenever I'm at the edge of reception with slow data speeds my phone does this. Sorry about the multiple posts.

Hey I'm over 1000 now. And less than half were from my phone repeating the same one four times.

I think when they hit $800-$1,000 you'll wish you paid even $499

I know perfectly well that it's still a good buy

Yep...It is a difficult decision to drop $500 or $1000...MORE...on these sets if you already have a few.  If you don't have one, now might be the time.  The extra $100 is hard to swallow, but as other members have pointed out, Target offers 120 day returns on items.  So if LEGO does release more, you could always return them.

That was my reasoning.  I was able to pick up one (managed to convince my lovely boss).  Best argument was that if Lego does release more I have 90 days to return to the store.  120 if you have a RedCard.

I thought the same thing, because I searched for results and sorted by price. Just for giggles, I paged through and - What do you know!? SSD is on page 4 after a bunch of $9.99 items and has other $20 and $30 sets listed after that. Somebody who codes their website doesn't know how to use a sort algorithm...

I am in the same boat. I have only 6 of them, but I got them at Target for $288. I just cant pull the trigger for $500 as there is better buys methinks. (ie: CV)

What is CV?

Well I pulled the trigger and bought 2 on Target.  Also signed up for red card.  Cant get that for a week.  Will bring to target and rering purchase to get 5% off when my red card and order arrives.

My 2 SSD's came in pristine condition from Amazon today.  One had 20R4 and the other 20R7 for production codes.

Great they are coming from the future...

17 left on eBay

So, in year 2017, 10221 is still not retired!?

I guess I am off to walmart to return my SSDs then...

I'm not on the up and up on what the codes mean, is the last number the year?  I thought maybe it was a production run number or something.  I probably read it wrong and the're both 20R4.  the numbers were right on the edge of the box so kind of hard to read.

None on Ebay this morning. Kinda excited I pulled the trigger yesterday from Target.  Got shipping confirmation about 2 AM this morning.

I actually bought a few also just in case.  If they come back I can simply return them, but if not then I won't be shedding tears the next few months.

Thats pretty bold buying these for $100 over retail. Just not seeing that. I mean I love the set, and you will make money on it still - but looking at what price it is now is pointless. Its inflated as hell because people are panicking.

This set isn't going to immediately double or something. If anything it will be a bit slow at the beginning because there is clearly a bubble here.
