August 22, 201411 yr Author it's a bargain, less than ten cents a brick It's $16,000 and has 23,261 pieces. I am not sure if your math is correct
August 22, 201411 yr The creativity of some just amazes me. I really like how they captured the sculptures of the people.
August 22, 201411 yr It's $16,000 and has 23,261 pieces. I am not sure if your math is correct I think it's correct. From my calculations, it's under $0.07 per brick. I saw this while looking for some other sets, and I have to say that it's impressive. Only if I had the money to buy it.

Only if I had the money to buy it. If it was 0.07 per brick, it would be $1628.27. If it was 0.688 per brick, it would be $16003.57.

Only if I had the money to buy it. Ok, I guess maybe I am doing the equation incorrectly. I am dividing 16,000 / 23,261 = .687= .$.69 per brick? Am I doing the math wrong?
August 22, 201411 yr If it was 0.07 per brick, it would be $1628.27. If it was 0.688 per brick, it would be $16003.57. That's why I said under $0.07, not exactly. That's still a good ratio for the most part.
August 22, 201411 yr Author Ok, special note to self. Make sure joyjoy and MartinP don't do any math things for the site

August 22, 201411 yr I think I did the math wrong. I guess this is what happens in the summer when you forget how to do the simplest math problems. Wait until you're my age (38)... plenty of simple things will be beyond your reach.
August 22, 201411 yr Wow that is pretty impressive. I checked this guys sold listings...he sells a TON of the instructions for the base of the statue of liberty at $65 a pop. Good for him! It also gives me hope and puts into perspective how many big time lego AFOLS are out there that are buying these things!
August 22, 201411 yr Isn't it .68 cents per brick? Now, _that_ would be an amazing price - less than one cent per brick ...
August 22, 201411 yr Ok, I guess maybe I am doing the equation incorrectly. I am dividing 16,000 / 23,261 = .687= .$.69 per brick? Am I doing the math wrong? You are right. It's the price of the set divided by the piece count......not the other way around.
August 22, 201411 yr It would be really nice if one of you could buy Ed and myself this.... May have to work out a trade for some of those SSDs and other big sets you have...
August 23, 201411 yr I've heard there is a bubble growing with the New York Stock Exchange though - not sure you would want a sculpture of that.
