Selling Lego on Amazon.com

Can anyone share with me their experiences with selling on Amazon.   I sold some stuff years ago and am now thinking of listing some items on there again.  I know their policies and prices have changed.  I am getting tired of the ebay fees and more the people purchasing on there trying to scam.  I am wondering if it makes sense to sell and ship self, or if there is a way to send them all items and fulfill for you.  What are the cost benefits or lack off from either way.

Thanks for any information or experiences.

Not to throw shade at baby-formula-momma but I’ve never heard of a “proprietary” ban. Amazon may be ruthless but when it comes to metrics, they measure everything. I’m sure she knows what really tripped her ban.

But the article’s point is really really important here... apparently you can buy insurance for getting kicked off Amazon. :)

Holiday approval came this morning. Hope everyone else is waking up to this email. I have pleased my amazon overlords.

We are pleased to inform you that you have met the Holiday Selling Guidelines. To remain eligible to sell in the Toys & Games store this holiday season, please continue to meet those guidelines.

Same here. It’s like Santa telling you he’s really really watching you while you’re sitting on his lap asking for something. Creepy

I did not meet Holiday Selling Guidelines, but all of my FBM listings are still active.

doesn't start till 10/17

Also rejected today, despite meeting all requirements and perfect metrics. Got Amazon help on phone and opened a case. Was told not to worry and all will be Ok... got a case number... but I know all that means nothing til the great computer switches you from a zero to a one.  I shipped plenty fba, but only a few items fbm. Anybody get rejected that DID fbm 25+ orders?

No email this morning. I only received one email in August telling me that I meet the holiday selling guidelines and to continue the good job, so to speak. Anyway, I only sell FBA so probably not a concern for me.

100+ FBA order from last 60 days, I  do not meet the Holiday Selling Guidelines

For fbm . Fba is fine

Of course I didn't get anything. Will have to open a case. *sigh*

Regarding open cases: my case to get 75153 reactivated in search is still open (opened one month ago). Keep getting messages that they are working it with the technical team. Can anyone here see the main 75153 listing via search (either searching for "LEGO 75153" or "LEGO AT-ST")? Has anyone sold any 75153 in the last 30 days?
Wondering if this is a localized issue or across platform....

Not through amazon,.   if you search via google you get to the listing.  Just make sure to tell all your customers to search amazon using google. :P 75149 also had this problem but was recently remedied.

Has anyone sold any 75153 in the last 30 days?

Yes - only 1 and i'm competitive on price.  slow mover due to above problem.  no alt listing that comes up either so this set is hosed until the problem is resolved.

Yeah, 76054 also had the problem and got resolved, so I am hoping 75153 will get resolved soon. I have a feeling this Christmas is a good time to start offloading them, but that won't happen with a broken listing.

I have sold 25+ and got rejected today. Opened a case

I have perfect metrics but fewer than 25 FBM orders (hundreds of FBA orders). Got a rejection notice today. Opened a case. I originally got a notification telling me I was fine, subsequently got one telling me that I was not so fine despite no change in metrics etc.

Amazon gonna Amazon.

My metrics are fine I guess I did not sell enough because I only do FBA but just sold 30 Fall Convention Funkos this weekend FBM  but deadline was Oct. 1 So I didnt reach 25 apparently.

Anyone doing Seller Fulfilled Prime?  How is your experience?

Smaller products I assume. How about $120 MSRP LEGO or larger?

Also, do you assign which product is Prime or all your inventory becomes Prime once you sign up.

More importantly, do you get the same chance for BuyBox as others' FBA items ?

I use it for items with high margins to cover shipping costs  .

You assign each item individually based on shipping template . You can limit the regions you ship to in order to minimize shipping cost but your exposure will be limited .

yes

I love it for items that can go first class mail. Change cutoff time to 11am and you are good to go SFP wed-sat using first class mail. SFP is not coded as prime so repricers that are set to match fba won’t react to it. SFP is treated as prime to win the buy box tho so you can really dominate most sellers who just set their repricer and walk away. Be aware first class mail is changing to zone pricing next year so this strategy will not be quite as profitable then.

So I'm not hearing anyone say they have great metrics, self-fulfilled 25 orders, AND got a rejection notice for holiday selling.  My guess is they finally closed that loophole (that allowed fba orders to count towards your 25).  It never made sense anyway.  I'm surprised it took them this long to figure it out.
