Selling Lego on Amazon.com

Can anyone share with me their experiences with selling on Amazon.   I sold some stuff years ago and am now thinking of listing some items on there again.  I know their policies and prices have changed.  I am getting tired of the ebay fees and more the people purchasing on there trying to scam.  I am wondering if it makes sense to sell and ship self, or if there is a way to send them all items and fulfill for you.  What are the cost benefits or lack off from either way.

Thanks for any information or experiences.

They sell lots of low quality items for cheap and do not mind Amazon's generous return policy.  Also they can't do much when Amazon "misplaces" their FBA shipments.  What more can Amazon want from its sellers ?? :P 🤣

The ignite goup has really harmed selling in a new way.

After amazon gated many ppl this past holiday season, ignite has gotten 100's of sellers approved to walmart.

walmart used to be very few sellers and high prices. No longer.

But thats not even the issue.

Now, Walmart prices have cratered on many sets.

Amazon sees the price and suppresses buy box till its as low.

Case in point: Typewriter. Was selling close to $400 briskly on amazon. Then one day its suppressed until $333.

Sure enough, I check walmart and thats the new seller lowball price on walmart.

It's a shame that more of the people in that group haven't yet realized that a rising tide does not lift all ships.

Kind of like termites.  They were destroying the foundation of Amazon "building".  Once removed from Amazon, they migrated to Walmart "building" and are destroying the foundation there.  Amazon foolishly created support beams that leaned on Walmart.  So when the termites are done, both platforms are going to fall in loud boom. :drag:

Witht that thought, Have a good summer everyone ! ☀️ :D

Why's that? I tried listing LEGO sets there but couldn't because Walmart wants invoices.

A lot more fraud then Amazon, Plus much harder to get claims approved,  As well as I can sell 50 on Amazon, To 2 or 3 on WM.

Plus WM you can use any upc to make listings.

Walmart has also been actively recruiting amazon sellers.

Whoo hoo! 2 sets!

So Ive been getting a bunch of these lately. The dreaded " replacement "

Do I lose out on the funds? Is there a way to see the reason and potentially dispute?

Its some very high priced items....

so I was able to find this list of replacement codes. How come we the sellers need to eat the costs of most of these reasons? Can we dispute or ask for refund from amazon?

well most seem like AZ would cover it, If defective they should be returning it. Then you can inspect

that's why i report every return that is fraud

How do you all close an FBM return when none of the options apply? In this case, Amazon has already fully refunded the buyer, but the return is still open. When I try to close the return, Amazon requires me to select one of four options, which are Partial Refund Issued, Item not Returned, Return Request Cancelled, Duplicate Return Request. None of these options apply. The buyer returned the item.

just had this for like a month. super annoying as it seems like theres action required but like bold arrow noted, it falls off after a while.

Just got a FBA return of Lego 75343 Star Wars Dark Trooper Helmet with a bag of pasta and some marshmallow in it.

The reimbursement process is quite smooth, however, only get $56 back... Still don't understand how the reimbursement amount is determined. Of course, the buyer was reported for abusing/violating return policy.

The same way Amazon bots determine the correct 😜 prices for goods sold by 3rd party sellers to get BB or even to appear on ASIN.

I don't understand why they couldn't at least have included some sauce to go with the pasta....Marshmallows?.....Makes me think of a song from one of my favorite Steve Martin movies
