I picked up another R2 today with a calendar, just can't help myself.

I don't make my way up there very often - so when I do I'm shocked anything is available.

 

I just pick on you because your name is easy to type.

LOL that would of been funny.  That building is crazy big.  Its some sort of Shrek Dreamworks Winter Village thing you can go through.

I'm a big Star Wars fan.  But I feel like Lego could've made a better R2.  Shinier silver lego bricks would've looked much better on the dome instead of the dull grey bricks. 

And they should've put some electronics in it so it could roll or rotate it's dome or make beeping sounds. 

As a fan, that's the one I'm hoping for.

Has anyone else noticed when you pop in Star Wars Episode 1 Blu Ray what comes up on screen while it is loading up?

R2-D2 spinning and center screen.

 

I rest my case.

I can't help but notice in the second picture there are tentacles coming out of R2D2's private area.....?  

 

Wait.....no........I don't watch this kind of cartoons.... at night.......... I know nothing.

I thought R2's private area was where he kept his equipment, like his shock prod and computer interface thingy.  That would be in his chest, more or less.  He's a crafty little bugger, like a mechanized Swiss army knife.  He's supposed to have some sort of periscope or something that pops out of his head, too, right?  Like in the swamp monster scene on Yoda's planet.  Too tired to try and spell it...

This is concerning...reminds me of the FB problem that may ( or may not) have extended the life of that set when it was thought to be retiring soon:
