The promo poster was shipped with all orders in May 2012, not just purchases of R2.

Well, at least the guy did not throw it away... Maybe I should laminate it or something.. At least plastic pouch perhaps?

I had mine professionally framed, but it got a little messed up before that. It was all wrinkled when I bought the set, so I researched ways to smooth out the paper with a warm iron like many dealers do with comic books. But I effed it up and some of the black ink came off of the front.

Oh well. Looks pretty sweet in the frame regardless.

Today I wrote Lego Germany an email regarding the R2D2 and, as some other people said, it is out production and Lego does not plan to produce it again. If you like I can quote the email but you have to use google translate since it is written in german.

My son has kind of fallen out of love with SW, more LotR fan anymore, but he still has the R2 poster up in his room.

After going to Lego Indy Kidsfest and being behind, I so much want to drive around the 3 neighboring states and scoop up R2's.

However I am a bit tired, behind and needing to get paperwork caught up. (its a hobby not my job).

So since I never go over the LEGO Shop at Home limits combining stores & LEGO Shop at Home purchases I think I am going to abstain.

Do not want a ban hammer over it.  Very few of my R2's came from LEGO Shop at Home.

might still be better for what Target is doing with mine.  they are shipping my 5 10225s in ONE box.

As of a recent check, there are still some R2's in the BM Lego stores by me (Chicago, Schaumburg, Orland Park).  Picking mine up today and then will have reached my goal.
 
Also this high quality, super well designed guy is part of buy 1 get 1 for $1 at the disneystore.com.  Would look awesome with 10225 display as the scale is pretty close.  I also really like the combination of plush and lego together...makes for an interesting looking set.

Ordered 2 in a single order on monday. Each was shipped in a separate S8 box. one had just minor bumps on ends, another not so lucky:

So far from Amazon this week I have gotten 2 shipments of 2 and they have both been very tight in a P7 labeled box (if I am reading that correctly).

So far they are all doing well.  Not mint but very good and better than 1/2 of my Target orders.

I wouldn't abuse that with such a small dent. Do that too many times and they ban you from buying.
