Do you usually find good deals at the lego stores?  The one closest to me is about an hour and a half away and I am wondering if if it is worth it to make the trip.

Everything is sold for retail at the Lego stores.

There have been sales on the weekends at my Lego store this summer. About 20% off for selected sets.

they sometimes have some discounts on retiring sets, nothing that you wont find at most retailers though .. it is def a sight seeing all the big sets on the shelf, so if you are really into Lego (not just resale), i would advise you to make the trip at some point. 

Also sets with damaged boxes have been known to sometimes be discounted, other than that, unless you are buying exclusives or PAB, usually better to buy elsewhere.

Its always good to give them a call. They had a set that the box was dented and it was still at retail, but they were giving you 500 bonus VIP points.
