Tried searching and came up with zilch, so here goes.

 

Have several extra large and small instruction manuals (as well as some Nintendo NES game manuals ) and wondering the best way to ship them.  The USPS cardboard envelopes (not sure of the name) are priority mail and seem expensive for manuals that only cost a few bucks.  So how would you fine gentlemen go about shipping them in an acceptable and economic way?

Cut out 2 cardboard pieces slightly larger, place between them, and tape all edges together?

Bubble mailer(s) perhaps?

I would cut out a piece of cardboard about the size of the manual and place it and the manual in an appropriately sized bubble mailer.

If you use cardboard, make sure the corrugated bits (flutes) are parallel to the spine of the instructions. Cardboard resists bending across the flutes rather than the same direction. Also the more flutes per foot the better which coincidentally enough seems to be what you get with thinner cardboard anyways. At least this way, if the instructions get bent a little they'll bend in a way less likely to damage them.

wow I never thought about just using a bubble mailer with cardboard....bought those in bulk so I have a million
