I'm actually kind of surprised that Lego hasn't gone back and done a reboot of Classic Space.  They wouldn't be identical, but to use the same figure types, color scheme, etc.  I think the AFOL crowd would go crazy over them.  Just look at Benny's spaceship.  Everybody wants it because it is such a throwback to Classic Space.  Had mine been in better shape when they got pulled out of storage, I probably would have kept them, but blue/grey/white piece yellowing really made them lose their luster. 

So how long before it will cost $100 in the US just to qualify for free shipping?

As time goes on, Lego will probably increase the amount you have to spend to get free shipping to $100. I can see this happening within the next five years or so. Sometimes, I can't find a set that I like to ad to get the free shipping, which is why I go to my local Lego store more often than using LEGO Shop at Home.

Oh I completely agree. Lego has gotten more expensive over the last few years, mostly licensed themes though. Ahem, cough *Vulture Droid and V-Wing* ahem, cough.

Can't say 100% but I don't think there is one in September. That may be why it hasn't shown up. Good reason for keeping your money for October and double VIP points.

Probably not ordering anything at midnight, but I will be going to my local Lego store this week to buy a modular for myself.

Sell it now and you can probably net $20 after fees. Not sure about longer term prospects. I like to sell these right off the bat before eBay gets flooded.
