January 11, 201510 yr The TIE Advanced Prototype looks good for anyone doing flips. I could only find 3 in the whole city searching for my collection. Its price is double msrp on Amazon.
January 23, 201510 yr So much for everyone's excitement about Throne Room Duel. These sets say "all the talented designers are working on Force Awakens."
January 23, 201510 yr Great. Another version of an ep 1 ship. Boo! The other sets look good. Maybe "ok" at best. Blag. Nothing to see. Move along. The Shuttle looks the best along with the Throne room.
January 23, 201510 yr I think the Flash Speeder here is significantly better than the original attempt back in 2000. Great. Another version of an ep 1 ship. Boo!I feel like the limited edition at Target from 2011 was better or about the same and glad I have that one. Perhaps this one is meant to be a more 'general release' version. The Shuttle looks the best along with the Throne room.It does look good and also similar to the UCS version overall.

January 25, 201510 yr I think the shuttle will boost the sales of the UCS one. At least i hope so. On the other hand i wouldnt be surprised to see another IS in Episode 7
January 25, 201510 yr Duel and poor man's IS is nice. Latter uses some techniques from 10212 at first look.
January 25, 201510 yr I like the throne room just for the figures though I think the build looks pretty good too. It will be nice to be able to get Vader in a set that's less than $100 and that Luke in a set that's less than $250. The shuttle in my opinion looks awesome--espcecially if you missed out on the USC one like me. Such a cool ship. Can't quite tell who it comes with--looks like maybe Han, Chewy, Leia, and some commandos. Looking forward to these! Thanks for posting!
January 25, 201510 yr Looks like I can get rid of the 7659 Landing Craft that I've been using as a stand in for the Shuttle. Looking forward to better pictures.
January 25, 201510 yr The shuttle looks great, except that the cockpit is two sizes too big. Yes but I think it's to fit more than just one minifig inside, like the side cockpit of the 7965 MF (this one was also too big).
January 25, 201510 yr looks like the trend of "heavy on the figs" is continuing. Edited January 25, 201510 yr by Shislerocco
January 25, 201510 yr Yes but I think it's to fit more than just one minifig inside, like the side cockpit of the 7965 MF (this one was also too big). I agree that's probably the reason, but the little piece of me that treasures my UCS version just can't look at it and be happy. My kids on the other hand might be happy as I'm thinking it would be good to let them have their own (they aren't allowed to touch mine ).
February 1, 201510 yr I wonder why Luke has a blue lightsaber . . . Probably a mix-up with the Naboo Starfighter. Obi-wan is in that one. Or a mistake made by LEGO with shipping out the kits.
February 1, 201510 yr Picture of the Final Duel over at Hoth Bricks. Nice, I think about 3 of these put together will be just about right. Now we just need a Kren Blista-Vanee, Janus Greejatus, and Sim Aloo battle pack.
February 4, 201510 yr Here is an upcoming book from DK that I almost didn't mention (perhaps someone else did). Titled LEGO Star Wars in 100 Scenes, it 'recreates' numerous scenes, famous or infamous, from the universe of Star Wars. It sounds like a fantastic idea but if the preview images are any indication towards the final product then I'm sorry to say your money could be better spent elsewhere honestly. The backgrounds, minifigures, and builds on each page are simply stock photos LEGO has used for their website and covers of the various set's boxes. In short this looks to be a fancy 'crop & paste' clipart job with some random facts text popping up. While the idea is a nice one, the recycling of stock photography compared to having diorama MOCs based on each scene is a letdown especially with a number of fantastic fan builds that have better recreated the world of Star Wars through LEGO. Unfortunately to me this feels like a simple cash in.
February 4, 201510 yr I couldn't agree more OrcKing! This sounded like a great idea, but you are right about the stock photos. They are uninspiring and show very little effort being put forth on this one.
February 12, 201510 yr There wil be no UCS M.F this year and no UCS At At walker, for what it's worth. There will be another M.F later in the year. Don't know if this info has been put out there yet. I for one was holding out for a UCS M.F but now am going to Bricklink it
