I love the idea that massive billion dollar corporations can't do their job right and that is somehow my fault if I just don't take it. Not surprised though as victim blaming has become a national pastime. I shouldn't have worn that dress I guess...

Hi everyone I'm new to this site. I'm a little confused because I thought the 76023 The Tumbler was actually a Lego set with that actor from Brokeback Mountain in it. (No, the other one - the one with an Oscar and a last name that I can pronounce.)

But reading this thread I have actually learned that "76023 The Tumbler" is actually some sort of internal code describing cardboard condition. I will continue looking though other topics to see where we can discuss the Batman set.

Just kidding. I love a derail as much as anyone. Happy Holidays everyone.

Now I'm going to go take pictures of all the crappy wrapping jobs I've done on my wife's Christmas presents and post about them in the 10237 Tower of Orthanc thread.

Ah yes, the extremely rare donnie darko figure.........

I for one collect cardboard boxes by the hundred, in many shapes and sizes. I too would like to complain about the state of the cardboard box reselling industry as it is not the same as the 19th century.

Who is this Man Bat you speak of? Wayne Bruce?

Anyone know what bag the figs come in?  I am going to inspect my broken seal box to make sure everything is in there.  Looks like the figs are not in their own separate bags.

Joker in 3 parts #1s. Batman in #11...

IIRC, should be piece count of 26. Counting each bag, tire, instruction bag & 1 loose piece...

So 6 tires, base plate, instruction bag and the rest bags?  That sound about right?

Yes, that's right. Lemme guess, I'm gonna be quoting myself...?

"Quoting myself"? Not sure what you mean by that.

Since the last update, whenever I "quote" someone, it quotes the person they're quoting. Which in this case was me. So, now I try not to quote quoted posts on the app...

How 'bout that Tumbler...[emoji56]

Went into my local Lego store trying to get a tumbler and was told quite emphatically that it's retiring soon and they'll be no new stock.

Do you mean the things you state or are you just trolling?

I never claimed it would retire soon - Lego did. Complain to them if you ain´t happy ;)

it's only trolling if you bite like a fish, or if it offends you. i take it as a joke.

I also take it as a joke. But they are getting old.

The success of this set as an investment is likely to vary market by market.

I drew a line as there are just too many negatives in my market compared with sets of a similar price:

1) TLG lowered the official price a few months ago.

2) The usual resellers all have multiple copies and the only ones sold in recent months have been well below RRP.

3) It was available at 25% off or some time in a major chain and didn´t sell out

4) AA and other Super Heroes sets are  among the hardest to move on here - see Chima and Ninjago

5) That retiring soon tag

I am sure there will be many places where this set will be exactly the opposite - we can check in in a year´s time to see.
