Out of likes for the day; awesome haul Raven.

For those acquiring the Tumbler, IT IS WORTH ALL THE HYPE. Honestly, treat yourself to one and build it... It took three Broncos football games and 16 beers (+ or -) to complete. My favorite build since the 42000.

Agree with DNISM. I have sold on CL between $250-$290; 2x VIP+ promo + cash-in-hand CL business make a $250 sell still a nice deal. If you have any access to a Lego B&M, this isn't hard to acquire.

And even with a longer travel time and fuel cost, it is a great time to be at your closest B&M store on delivery day (just be sure and be waiting for store opening).Even with quantity limits of 1, your trip should yield a Tumbler, RI, an Exo, and possibly a TH.

It's not a bad deal if you can get it. I have had one on Craigslist for $275 since the beginning of this month that I refresh every few days and have not received one email

Victor, NY

I called them yesterday to hold one for me.  I went last night and picked it up.  I saw 2 left on the shelf as of last night at 5:30pm.

I have mine listed on STL CS and have not recieved any interest. Maybe I will just undercut you at $274 and see if I have any luck.  :cheese:

Have mine listed in San Francisco CL for a couple of weeks now at $300 with no interest. There are about five others posting in my area for the same price except one person who has it at $275. Not sure if he's relisting because of no sale or if he has multiples to sell.

I put my Tumbler on ebay for a month at $295 (shipped) and on Charlotte craigslist at $249.  Got 1 email offering "not more than $200" which, of course doesn't even cover my sales tax.  They must be too easy to get around here.

Here is the issue with the Tumbler. They may not be available at lego.com, but I have yet to go into a lego store and not see one in a shelf. So the ONLY people who will buy on ebay or CL are people who live far from a Lego store. There are plenty of them out there so re-sellers are stocking up. The market is getting saturated. I think Christmas sales will do well, but people selling now need to be patient. I sold mine about a week ago for $292 (that included shipping). So they are selling, but just don't expect to retire off them.

I've been to lego store in Raleigh NC several times recently and they've never once been on the shelf. Depends on your area I guess

i have found them in Concord Mills NC. The only other store in NC :(

Does anyone believe this set is still a $500 flip at Christmas on eBay?

Absolutely not! Even though you can only find the set in B&M stores for the remainder of 2014, there will still be enough out there that the price won't increase past $350.

I picked one up today, at a Lego store in Ct. I was surprised by the size of the box. It's as big as a Tower Bridge box.

The key to this set will be the B&M availability leading to christmas. The website says that it won't be available online the rest of 2014, and that limited quantities may be available in store during October. If the current availability we are seeing in stores dries up and it's not available online, it will be an excellent holiday flip. It just depends on how likely that is to happen.

I got 3 sets so far. The first one was for me. I just had to open it and assemble it like I was on ten 5 hour energies. I bought 3 sets on the same store using my vip card on different dates. I just want to know if I can keep doing this? I know their delivery days for the shipments but isn't it supposed to be one set per a customer? I just don't want to get banned and lose all my points.

Dang, I liked the old one better. It was more definite in "none for Christmas " department

I'd prefer they just mark it retired.

It's available at WB shop for $215 with no tax and has been for the last three hours. I thought it would have sold out by now.
