http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGw5jwBlcxY

Posted this video on another thread but I felt it needed its own thread. At 2:26, he mentions a UCS tumbler coming soon!!!

No idea where thebrickshow got that info from but I'd love to see pictures of it soon!

Those in UK and Ireland, im getting the tumbler as able to collect in store at some of the Smyth shops!

£170,

Yeah, there are still a fair few available at some stores around the UK. If you write an email to Smyths customer services after you've purchased, claiming that you're not happy that they raised the price from £160 to £170 (and also that Lego are not pleased to hear about the price rise) they should give you £10 back in a gift voucher or whatever. Loads have been successful, including myself. Enjoy!

Tumbler back in stock today on Amazon.  Any ideas what is going on?

Until seal codes after week 43 happen, it seems to be drip feeding of existing stock from a last large production run. Almost as bad for residuals as being a TRU exclusive.

Likely a late shipment. Limit is 1. This seems to happen sometimes - for example, late last year Amazon had both Tower of Orthanc and Red Five at retail for a bit as well.

Amazon US just had some available, for 5 minutes

Picked 1 up. Limit. No it's gone

Think the brickpickers are storming the stock, :-P

I was able to get a Tumbler today from Amazon for my first lego buy ever. Had my girl grab me one too so hopefully I'll have two. I'll post seal codes and box condition as soon as I get them.

The Tumbler was also my first purchase. Welcome to never having enough money to buy all the sets you want.

Tower of Orthanc, awesome looking set, currently approx £400, in UK for sealed box,

It might just be me but I don't see this on the Smyths website anymore. UK anyway.

Yep, looks like they've taken the product off the website completely. Fairly confident they still have stock in-store in Northern Ireland, I wonder if they'll reduce it now. Still showing up on the ROI website for Home Delivery so maybe they'll just move their NI stock south.

Although not showing on the main site anymore, link I had open in my browser still opens to the tumbler page on the UK site http://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/toys/c-766/lego-bricks/p-10691/lego-dc-comics-super-heroes-batman-the-tumbler-76023/  but without picture and all locations showing as Not available now. When I checked yesterday, some UK stores still had stock showing and not just the NI ones, so some may get lucky and spot one lingering in a store.

But hopefully this signals the beginning of the end of the smyths saga, and they've not just removed it temporarily whilst discussing the legal position on selling above RRP and bring it back at a Euro matching £199 :)

Yep, not going to make any special effort to check but if I'm near one at the weekend (in NI) I'll pop in to have a look.

Note the category of the one sold for £200, women's high heels! So quite possibly they got little interest.

Somebody paid £200, so a 20% plus profit, on original price. Not to shabby in today's money market.

They've made nothing like 20%. Once all fees etc, they'll be lucky to clear 10% profit.

Exactly, either the buy-in was low or they pretty much wasted their time. Still, the indicators are moving to red on this one à la AA.

Sorry new to this. Fees? Post and packaging. Are thete other fees?

Also as seller is it Always plus P&P or does it depend on site.

Ebay's normally 10%, Paypal 3.4% + 20p per transaction then P&P on top. Amazon fees are more like 20% if I recall correctly.

You seem to be constantly down on this set, do you not think it's a bit too early to be saying that one way or the other? People can still get this in stores in the UK, which has got to be seriously affecting the market. There's also a lot of these selling, 20 in the last 3 days on ebay.

I´m a stakeholder so I´d be up if it was up too! A lot are selling because it is a popular set that many buyers willl have missed out on and prices are still sensible but the trend in prices is ever downward whereas the SW exclusives are resisting better and selling just fine too.

Yeah, but are you comparing this to say Red Five, which you can't put your hands on at retail in Europe. The UK's a pretty big market, so the Tumbler still being available there has got to skew things a bit.
